The Opportunity

We're seeking a Founding Engineer to join our core team and shape the technical foundation of LITMAS. This is a rare opportunity to build a category-defining product from the ground up, working directly with the founders to create technology that will transform the US litigation market.

As a founding engineer, you'll have significant ownership over our technical architecture, product decisions, and company culture. Your code will directly impact how thousands of attorneys practice law.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build core platform features using Python, Node.js, Next.js, React, and MongoDB
• Design and implement production-grade LLM systems with advanced tool usage, RAG pipelines, and agent architectures
• Build AI workflows that combine multiple tools for legal research, validation, and document analysis
• Create scalable RAG infrastructure to handle thousands of legal documents with high accuracy
• Implement AI tool chains to provide agents tool inputs
• Design intuitive interfaces that make complex legal workflows simple and powerful
• Own end-to-end features from conception through deployment and iteration
• Establish engineering best practices for AI systems including evaluation, monitoring, and safety
• Collaborate directly with founders on product strategy and technical roadmap

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

• Deployed production-grade LLM applications with demonstrable experience in:
• Tool usage and function calling
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementation at scale
• Agent architectures and multi-step reasoning
• Prompt engineering and optimization
• Knowledge of multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, open-source models)
• Background in building AI evaluation and monitoring systems
• Experience with document processing and OCR technologies
• 3+ years of production experience with Node.js, Python, Next.js, and React
• Strong MongoDB expertise including schema design and optimization
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or similar)
• Full-stack mindset with ability to own features from database to UI
• Track record of shipping complex web applications at scale
• Deep understanding of LLM limitations, hallucination prevention, and validation techniques

Interview Process

One more thing: Our process includes deep technical interviews and fit conversations. As part of the evaluation, there will be an extensive take-home test that should expect to take at least 4-5 hours depending on your skill level. This allows us to see how you approach real problems similar to what you'll encounter at LITMAS.

Fullstack Developer:

We are looking for an onsite Fullstack Developer experienced with Fullstack technologies, Cloud and IoT solutions. For the agile development of our web, mobile, and cloud applications and IoT products, building efficient, reliable and scalable solutions. A hands-on coding role, where you will build and manage your own team.

Tasks:

·        Development of modern based applications in the back-end

·        Development, implementation and optimisation of innovative IoT products, web apps and new features

·        Technical product design, solution architecture, specifications and implementation of Livello solutions

·        Work with a cross-functional team to define, build, test, and deploy universal applications

·        Version control with Git is part of your daily work and continuous integration

·        Ensure the implementation of technical standards, quality assurance and best practices.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable field of study

·       2-4 years’ experience in agile software development

·       Proficiency in Node.js, React js, Mongo DB, Docker along with any cloud Exp (AWS, GCP, Azure)

·       Experience with test and deployment automation (Gitlab, Fastlane, Jest).

·       Good to have Experience with GraphQL and Kubernetes as well as state management solutions (Redux, Saga)

·       Ability to work cooperatively and independently, analytical thinking, willingness to lead and take on responsibility

·       Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

·       Experienced in IoT-to-Cloud managed services, Microservices.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Driving the success of the software engineering team at Datamotive.

• Collaborating with senior and peer engineers to prioritize and deliver features on the roadmap.

• Build strong development team with focus on building optimized & usable solutions.

• Research, Design & Develop distributed solution to handle workload mobility across multi & hybrid clouds

• Assist in Identifying, Researching & Designing newer features and cloud platform support in areas of disaster recovery, data protection, workload migration etc.

• Assist in building product roadmap.

• Conduct pilot tests to assess the functionality of newly developed programs.

• Front facing customers for product introduction, knowledge transfer, solutioning, bugs triaging etc.

• Assist customers by giving product demos, conducting POCs, trainings etc.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 3 – 8 years of experience in software development with relevant domain understanding of Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Ransomware Recovery.

• A strong understanding and demonstrable experience with at least one of the major public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure or VMware)

• A strong understanding and experience of designing and developing architecture of complex, distributed systems.

• Insights into development of client-server SaaS applications with good breadth across networking, storage, micro-services, and other web technologies.

• Experience of building and leading strong development teams with systems product development background

• Programming knowledge in either of GO Lang, C, C++, Python or Shell script.

• Should be a computer science graduate with strong fundamentals & problem-solving abilities.
