Our client is headquartered in California and Y Combinator backed Shopify-like platform for creators & knowledge professionals (coaches, instructors, experts, artists etc.) to launch, manage and grow their business online. Founded by IIT/ IIM/ BITS/ Yale/ BCG Alumni and 3X Entrepreneurs, they are well funded and backed by top Indian VC firms along with start-up veterans like Kunal Shah (CRED). The company is founded by alumni from top IITs, IIMs, BITS, Yale including ex-entrepreneurs and from firms such as BCG, Hike, Dunzo and P&G.

Since the launch of  its first version in December 2020 they have grown 25X. Creators have earned more than $1 Million since launch through the platform.
We have just closed our series A (yet to announce) and are looking to build out our leadership team across functions.

• Own and drive product development and engineering management in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency inline with business strategy.
• Develop and maintain a aspirational architectural road map
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.
• Build and lead the technical team with focus on infusing culture resulting in energetic & positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Relevant prior experience in a software product-based company in a leadership position. Minimum of 5+ years experience building applications in high level programming languages - Java, Python or Go
• Strong experience in either or all of databases: MySQL, MongoDB, NOSQL, SQL Server, Oracle. -Strong working knowledge on AWS & Google Cloud & Cloud security.
• Strong working knowledge of Web, caching technologies, API integration technologies & protocols.
• Experience with managing AGILE development methodology and inspire the team to follow best Scrum practices.
• Fair understanding of DevOps would be ideal
• Must be a strong and enthusiastic team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers and you have curiosity about how things work
• Skills in Microservices Architecture, Product Roadmap& tech team management

• Draw up enterprise-wide architecture blueprint and enforce its implementation across products and systems
• Build from ground up, a scalable Enterprise platform infrastructure with multiple client applications and enterprise connectors
• Design, develop and deploy features and APIs with high quality standards

Job Description

Responsibilities: -

• You would take ownership of the existing system and scale it more than 10X over the next 2 years.
• Apply best coding standards.
• You would create the infrastructure that can serve 100s of customers and millions of data requests per hour.
• Over the next year or so, you would be able to guide a team of 5 to 15 people to accomplish your goals. Mentoring this team into a world-class engineering team would be a key part of your role.
• Your earlier experience in successfully building, deploying and running complex, large scale web or data products.
• You would work hand-in-hand with the Product Management team to build engineering capabilities that align with the evolution of the product.
• Eventually work with Data science teamwork to ensure that the algorithmic intelligence that we build is plugged into the product in an expected manner.
• Overall, you would be responsible for end-to-end architecting from Engineering standpoint.

Must have: -

• Total experience of 8+ years while relevant experience of at least 2 years.
• Have built a platform that handles at least 500k to 1 million data request an hour.
• Worked on building an infrastructure that serves 200k+ customers.
• Hands on coder.
• Expert level knowledge in at least one technology stack - Python or ideally, Java. Also Angular, React, Node.js

We are looking for a brilliant and energetic Full Stack Engineer to join Finin and help us take the platform to the next level. This individual will be a key member of our team, making technical decisions that will shape the company’s future. We want someone who can hit the ground running with our stack and who loves to brainstorm, write code, create new features, and have a big impact.
Responsibilities will include:
• Working on the full stack, from UI elements to database performance.
• Building new features from start to finish and back end to front end, including architecture design, coding, testing, and supporting in production.
• Tackling a wide variety of technical issues throughout our stack and contributing to all parts of the code base.


Key things we'll be looking for:
• Functional, real world programming experience (vs. theoretical).
