Tech Support Engineer

The Python Support Engineer is responsible for providing Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for our software applications and systems, focusing primarily on components built with Python. This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), developing temporary workarounds, and implementing permanent code fixes using Python.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and Resolve Issues: Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues related to Python applications, backend services (APIs), and data pipelines.
• Log and Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical skills and Python scripts (e.g., using Pandas or regular expressions) to parse system logs, database records, and monitoring data to pinpoint the root cause of failures.
• Debugging and Fixes: Read, understand, debug, and modify existing Python code to implement necessary bug fixes, patches, and minor enhancements.
• Database Interaction: Write and execute complex SQL queries to investigate data integrity issues and system performance problems across various relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.

2. Development and Automation

• Automation: Develop and maintain Python scripts and utility tools (e.g., using Bash/Shell scripting) to automate repetitive support tasks, streamline system health checks, and improve incident response efficiency.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Configure and fine-tune monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to proactively detect issues and ensure system reliability.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including RCAs, knowledge base articles, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for the support team.

Job Responsibilities

• At least 1-3 Years of Mobile App Development experience in React Native Framework.
• Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
• Worked on Social API integration, Core location APIs, Payment gateway integration, Google Maps, Webviews, Push Notification Service.
• Must have strong experience in Javascript, React JS.
• Strong Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL, Firebase or similar databases.
• Strong experience in sensors like accelerometer & gyroscope and detecting / correcting memory usage issues.
• Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3.

Required Skills

• Develop and enhance Mobile Application using HTML5, jQuery Mobile, JavaScript and CSS3.
• Define technical design for mobile application ecosystem (enterprise integration working with REST services, Vendor Mobile APIS, Push notifications, etc.)
• Integrate available plugins to utilize native phone APIs to handle push notifications, geolocation and payment processing (Google Wallet, Apple Pay, etc.)
• Potentially dig down into the native layer to develop custom plugins to achieve desired functionality if not supported by the chosen framework.
• Provide a creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems - strategic and tactical.
• Contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of through scripts, tool code, component development or methodology enhancement.
• Develops, maintains, monitors and tunes performance of the app.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and business users in conceptualizing, estimating and developing new software applications and enhancements.

Desired Skills

• 1-3  years of experience into React Native.
• Published 2 or more apps in the Google Play Store and Apple iTunes store.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C programming language with a solid understanding of embedded systems.
• Experience developing software for Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computers.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols and technologies such as MQTT, CoAP, TCP/IP, and wireless communication (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Familiarity with various sensors, actuators, and electronic components commonly used in IoT devices.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues in embedded systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in developing IoT applications or working on IoT projects is a plus.

Node.js Developer Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining all server-side network components.
• Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end requests.
• Collaborating with front-end developers on the integration of elements.
• Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
• Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.

Node.js Developer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
• At least 4 years' experience as a Node.js developer.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
