Tech Lead

Role overview:

As a founding senior software engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our AI-powered visual search engine for fashion and e-commerce. Responsibilities include solving complex deep-tech challenges to build scalable AI/ML solutions, leading backend development for performance and scalability, and architecting and integrating software aligned with product strategy and innovation goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address real consumer problems and build robust AI/ML pipelines to drive product innovation.

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5 years of Python experience (Golang is a plus), with expertise in concurrency, FastAPI, restful APIs, and microservices.
• proficiency in PostgreSQL/MongoDB, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in asynchronous programming, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (git).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

1. Design patterns- socket communication/ micro services architecture

3. Database - MONGO, SQL etc. min 2yrs experience with these.

• Hands-on experience in development of rest services using python
• Good knowledge Django or Flask framework

Additionally, we seek individuals with the following qualifications:

• Understanding of SEO and accessibility issues and how they relate to development
• Experience with NoSQL using MongoDB/Cassandra is a plus.
• Experience in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) like S3, EMR, EC2 is preferred

We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer, with over 4+ years of experience, to directly work with the CTO and contribute in building and developing new products and feature sets for NostraGamus. The work will entail the opportunity to explore and utilise the latest developments in the world of technology, and formulate ways to incorporate them into day to day work to create stellar products. The candidate must have had significant exposure in building real products, including working with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams. Prior knowledge in building games at scale is highly desirable, but not necessarily.

The following skillsets are highly essential:

1. Expertise in Node Js&Javascript, and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college
2. Deep knowledge on Database systems, especially PostgreSQL, and any noSQL clones, including knowledge to optimise
3. Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets
4. Absolute mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments is a must.
5. Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines

Bonus Points :

1. Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.
2. Prior knowledge in building games at scale.
3. Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.
4. Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real-world applications.

2. PHP Frameworks: Min. 2 Years with anyone (Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP, Yii etc.)
3. PHP Reporting Tools (Jasper etc.)
4. NET Exposure - Good to have
5. Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap
6. MEAN Stack - Good to have
7. Angular / React - Good to have
