Tech Lead

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Python Developer designs, builds, and improves Python and Django applications. The role includes developing end‑to‑end integrations using REST and SOAP services and delivering reliable, scalable solutions through hands‑on coding and data transformation work. The developer works closely with Business Analysts, architects, and other teams to ensure technical solutions support business needs. Key responsibilities also include improving SQL performance, taking part in code reviews, supporting DevOps workflows with Git and Azure DevOps, and helping integrate GenAI features—such as GPT models, embeddings, and agent‑based tools—into enterprise applications.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop Python and Django applications that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Implement UI components using CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, or similar technologies as needed.
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, and WSDL‑based services.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, database structures, and data access logic to support application features.
• Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Implement accurate data mappings and transformations in accordance with business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to code reviews, follow established coding standards, and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of DevOps pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps.
• Contribute to the integration of GenAI capabilities—including GPT models, embeddings, and agent‑based components—into enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot issues across the application stack and collaborate closely with peers to resolve technical challenges.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Python and Django, including complex application development.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL development, optimization, and database design.
• At least 1-2 years of applied experience with GenAI technologies (GPT models, embeddings, agents, etc.).
• Deep expertise in application architecture, system integration, and service‑oriented design.
• Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Advanced understanding of REST, SOAP, WSDL, and large‑scale service integrations.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and architectural reasoning abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in Python, cloud technologies, or GenAI are preferred but not required.

Requiremets and Responsibilities- (please read carefully before applying)

• The overall experience of 3-6 years in Java/Python Framework and Machine Learning.
• Develop Web Services, REST, XSD, XML technologies, Java, Python, AWS, API.
• Experience on Elastic Search or SOLR or Lucene -Search Engine, Text Mining, Indexing.
• Experience in highly scalable tools like Kafka, Spark, Aerospike, etc.
• Hands on experience in Design, Architecture, Implementation, Performance & Scalability, and Distributed Systems.
• Design, implement, and deploy highly scalable and reliable systems.
• Troubleshoot Solr indexing process and querying engine.
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science from Tier 1 Institutions

• Python. Django Rest Framework experience would be great, but not essential! We prioritise
• quality over quantity.
• Postgres with InfluxDB, Oracle, MySQL and Redis experience a plus.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenShift and associated tooling.
• AWS, especially ECS, Lambda, RDS and DynamoDB. Performance and uptime are super
• important to us.
• The challenge of scaling a global, distributed API to 10,000+ requests per second.
• We have SDKs in a bunch of languages, so the more polyglot you are the better.
• If you like writing JS and React that would be awesome too.

Skills Required:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support.
• Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements.
• Perform development and unit testing, working closely with Business.
• Mentors and oversees the development of resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high availability and performance
• Should have experience of working on Core Java/J2EE & OOPS concept
• Should be well versed with Spring/Struts & Apache Camel (OSGI Framework)
• Should have a good understanding of Hibernate and Other ORMs
• Should have an understanding of working on Web Service (SOAP/REST) and Maven
• Build tools such as Jenkins
• Caching Technique(Radis, Hazlecast, Aerospike)
• Database Knowledge - Oracle, MySQL

The technology platform implements  functionalities such as: screening surveys of mentors and mentees, training content for mentors, matching through an algorithm, and mentorship through the delivery of structured activities.

o   a Python Django web application with NGinx and Gunicorn

Minimum requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably  CS  or related discipline  
• 3+ years experience working in Unix/Linux environments building web and mobile applications
• Proficiency in developing and deploying cloud based Python/Postgresql applications preferably using frameworks such as Django
• Experience with design and development of moderately complex software projects
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with version control software such as Git

Desired  requirements 

• 5+ years of overall relevant work experience
• Experience building apps using React/React-Native
• Basic understanding of AWS cloud
• Ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs
