Position-Tech Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead with strong expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership experience in designing scalable solutions, guiding development teams, and collaborating with DevOps engineers on OpenShift (OCP) platforms. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, solution design, and delivery ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of Java / Spring Boot based microservices in a cloud-native environment.

Provide technical leadership to a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding, security, and architectural best practices.

Collaborate with architects and DevOps engineers to deploy and manage microservices on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).

Oversee end-to-end delivery including requirement analysis, design, development, code review, testing, and deployment.

Define and implement API specifications, integration patterns, and microservices orchestration.

Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, Helm, and GitOps workflows.

Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability with proactive observability practices (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications

8-10 years of proven experience in Java application development with at least 4+ years in microservices architecture.

Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes).

Familiarity with OCP DevOps practices including CI/CD (ArgoCD, Tekton, Jenkins), Helm, and YAML deployments.

Good understanding of observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager) and logging practices.

Solid knowledge of cloud-native design principles, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Exposure to security best practices (OAuth, RBAC, secrets management via Vault or similar). 

• Proficient in .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework. Strong design capabilities with SOLID principles using C#. Working knowledge in WCF. Database knowledge in SQL Design, and deliver innovative software solutions in collaboration with Technology teams. Develop high-quality production code Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript. Experience in React / Angular or Typescript preferred

  Minimum 3+ Years of Core Java Programming with Collections Framework, Concurrent Programming, Multi-threading (Good knowledge in Executor service, Fork joins pool and other threading concepts)

·       Good knowledge of the JVM with an understanding of performance and memory optimization.

·       Extensive and expert programming experience in JAVA programming language (strong OO skills preferred).

·       Excellent knowledge on collections like, Array List, Vector, LinkedList, HashMap, Hash Table, HashSet is mandate.

·       Exercised exemplary development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing, and code-reviews.

·       Expert level understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts and Data Structures

·       Good experience in Database (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server) like indexing (clustered, non-clustered), hashing, segmenting, data types like clob / blob, views (materialized), replication, constraints, functions, triggers, procedures etc.

We’re looking for a highly technical individual, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and is comfortable working closely with customers. 

Work Location

This role will be based remotely in Hyderabad / Bangalore and requires a frequent travel for short trips to customer site during the working week once the restriction are lifted. 

• Excellent analytical, diagnostic skills, and problem-solving skills
• High motivation for a role that combines deep technical and customer-management dimensions
• Confidence speaking and presenting in a collaborative customer setting
• 5+ years of software development/consulting/support experience, preferably in a number of distinct industries/verticals
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations
• Competence in at least one of the following languages (in no particular order): Java, C#, Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby, Go.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus
• Should have the strong capability with, minimally, both English and any local language - as necessary

As a core member of the MongoDB Professional Services team, you will

• Contribute to customer implementations at any or all phases of the application lifecycle: portfolio assessment, application planning, and design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimisation, and best practices adoption
• Deliver customer classroom-based training to architect, developer, and operations roles
• Work as part of a wider delivery team comprising fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams
• Cultivate your individual MongoDB reputation as a trusted advisor to guide MongoDB and our customers into the future
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the direction of the MongoDB product roadmap

Role & Responsibility

As a Backend Developer, You will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development. You will be working closely with Tech, Design and Quality team to build and launch the product.

• Code, develop, design and architect features related to the existing application. We expect you to own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship
• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
• Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and release products
• Take responsibility for performance and stability for all server functions
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, preferably from IITs/Top RECs
• 2-5 years of experience at cutting edge organizations or startups
• Extensive experience in a Java server-side software design and development
• Proficiency in the implementation of algorithms and the use of advanced data structures to solve problems in computing.
• Experience with e-business/e-commerce applications and business environment is a must
• Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus

Must have

• Good understanding of Java/J2EE and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of data structures and designing for performance, scalability and availability Knowledge in MongoDB and Web services
• Extensive use of Instruments and Shark to detect memory leaks and for performance optimization
• Good grasp of algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming
• Good to have - Python, NodeJS, Mysql, Redis, ElasticSearchGreat people skills!
• Able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management
• The high energy level and untiring commitment to drive oneself & the team towards goals
