Job Description

This is a remote position.

Experience Level

This role is ideal for engineers with 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, with a strong developer mindset and hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems.

An experienced individual contributor who thrives in ownership-driven environments, can operate effectively with minimal oversight, and is comfortable working in the absence of a traditional Product Manager while demonstrating a strong product mindset.

What You’ll Do as a Software Craftsperson

• Design and build high-quality, maintainable systems using disciplined engineering practices such as TDD, Test Pyramid, and a strong focus on overall software quality
• Operate in an AI-powered development environment, leveraging AI as a collaborator to explore solutions, accelerate development, and improve outcomes while maintaining strong engineering judgment
• Take end-to-end ownership of tasks, from understanding requirements to execution and delivery, with minimal supervision
• Work extensively on modern JavaScript/TypeScript-based systems as a core part of the development stack
• Develop and maintain backend systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
• Build and manage DevOps workflows, including creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions
• Set up and monitor systems using tools like Datadog dashboards to ensure system reliability and observability
• Make thoughtful technical decisions that balance simplicity, scalability, and maintainability
• Work in a highly autonomous environment, defining problems, interacting with customers when needed, and driving solutions independently
• Contribute to improving engineering practices, developer experience, and system quality across the team
• Contribute to mobile development efforts using React Native or Flutter (where applicable)

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience with a strong developer mindset
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Strong experience or familiarity with Ruby on Rails (Intermediate level or above preferred)
• Solid understanding of Software Craftsmanship principles, including TDD, Test Pyramid, and quality-first development
• Experience or familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) at an intermediate level
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog
• Exposure to or interest in AI Engineering (beginner level acceptable) and the ability to work effectively in AI-assisted environments
• Experience with mobile development- Flutter
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently define and execute tasks
• Comfort working in a high-ownership, low-structure environment without a dedicated Product Manager

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5 - 11 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.js.
• Proven experience with React.js and related technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router, Hooks, Context API).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Server Sent Events, WebSocket's
• Hand’s on experience with web components, micro frontends
• Deep understanding of browser apis like history, intersection observer, event handling, virtual panes, drag and drop etc
• Ability to work on a complex and fast moving code base.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and its integration with React applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on UI Developer with strong expertise in React.js and JavaScript to join our front-end engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in developing scalable, high-performance, and user-centric web applications. You will be expected to contribute immediately, owning development tasks end-to-end — from design and coding to performance tuning and deployment.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and modern front-end standards.
• Optimize components for maximum performance and scalability across various browsers and devices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve UI-related performance or compatibility issues.
• Stay up to date with emerging front-end technologies and continuously enhance the development process.

 Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end/UI development.
• Deep hands-on experience with React.js and core JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks/libraries.
• Experience with React hooks, state management (Redux or Context API), and component-based architecture.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of front-end applications with backend services.
• Experience with Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn, and modern build tools.
• Solid understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, or React Native.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in performance profiling and accessibility (a11y) best practices

● Experience Level: Min 2+ years

● JavaScript/Typescript and React Native.

Responsibilities

• Build applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js or svelte.js

• Build reusable UI components, ensuring that UI code base is scalable and maintainable

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Good in writing unit test cases, and can follow test driven development approach

• Participate in user experience design and architecture initiatives

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and elicit new

requirements

• Perform troubleshooting steps, if any, in the phase of implementation, customization, and

configuration

• Having good debugging skills and proficiency in tool to build next-generation web apps

Mandatory Skills

• Knowledge of Functional and OO JavaScript/ES6

• Built web Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript with Frameworks like React.js(Hooks

and context API), Vue.Js and svelte.js

• Basic understanding of Typescript and type language concepts

• Clear fundamental understanding of server-side rendered apps, experience with frameworks like

Next,js or Nuxt.js is the Best

• Good understanding of lib and frameworks like Webpack (4.0), lodash, any charting lib like d3.js or

• Expertise in using JavaScript state Management libraries such as Redux or Mobx

• Prior experience in building responsive design layouts using a formal framework like Material UI.

• Familiarity with best practices (web security concepts, ensuring browser & device compatibility,

etc.)

• Experience in development and debugging tools for cross-browser issues

• Working knowledge of integrating with RESTful APIs for server-side functionality

• Ability to work well individually and in a group setting, under pressure and deadlines

Requirements

• B.Tech/ B.S. or M.Tech/ M.S. in Computer Science, IT or related field.

• 5-8 years of experience.

Desirable Skills

• Hands-on experience with using Git (handling branching and merging), any DevOps pipeline,

• Experience with Agile methodologies
