Role Overview

The Hydrologist / Drainage Planning Expert will lead hydrological, hydraulic, and drainage design

tasks across infrastructure, transportation, water resources, and urban development projects. The

role involves rainfall-runoff analysis, watershed delineation, hydraulic modelling, flood-risk evaluation,

stormwater drainage design, and integration of survey and geospatial datasets such as LiDAR, drone

imagery, DEMs, and topographic survey data. The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary

teams and prepare technical reports, drawings, and engineering-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rainfall-runoff analysis using standard hydrological methods.

• Perform catchment delineation, infiltration assessment, and runoff estimation.

• Analyse rainfall, discharge, and historical flood data.

• Develop hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or equivalent tools.

• Design stormwater drainage systems including channels, culverts, and outfall structures.

• Prepare GL–IL sheets, drainage profiles, and hydraulic gradient calculations.

• Integrate survey datasets such as LiDAR, DEMs, and drone orthomosaics.

• Identify drainage bottlenecks and propose mitigation measures.

• Prepare hydrology reports, calculations, drawings, and GIS layers.

• Coordinate with GIS, CAD, LiDAR, Survey, and engineering teams.

• Conduct field visits for drainage assessment and validation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Accuracy of hydrological and hydraulic calculations.

• Quality and completeness of drainage design deliverables.

• Timely submission of reports and drawings.

• Reduction of rework and improved dataset integration.

• Client acceptance of deliverables with minimal revisions.

• Effective interdisciplinary communication and coordination.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of hydrology, surface water drainage, and hydraulics.

• Knowledge of modelling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or MIKE.

• Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS/QGIS) for terrain and watershed analysis.

• Ability to interpret LiDAR point clouds, DEMs, and topographic data.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D for drainage drawings.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Good communication and technical writing abilities.

Educational Qualifications

• M.Tech/M.Sc in Hydrology, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.

• B.Tech (Civil) with strong hydrology knowledge may also apply.

• Training/certifications in hydraulic modelling tools preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3 to 12 years of experience in hydrology, drainage planning, stormwater modelling, or water

resource engineering.

• Experience integrating LiDAR/drone-based datasets is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex blockchain data sets and derive investment relevant metrics in close partnership with financial analysts and blockchain engineers.
• Apply knowledge of statistics, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to the development of fundamental metrics needed to evaluate various crypto assets.
• Build a strong understanding of existing metrics used to value various decentralized applications and protocols.
• Build customer facing metrics and dashboards.
• Work closely with analysts, engineers, Product Managers and provide feedback as we develop our data analytics and research platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience (or) degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science)
• 3+ years experience with data analysis and metrics development
• 3+ years experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across stakeholders
• 2+ years experience writing SQL queries
• 2+ years experience scripting in Python
• Demonstrated curiosity in and excitement for Web3/blockchain technologies

Data Management:Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.

Generate HR reports for management as needed.

Employee Engagement:Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.

Conduct surveys and gather feedback to improve workplace satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.

• Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• You must have good understanding of Object Oriented Programming 
• 5 years or more of professional software development experience with 3 or more years of experience developing .NET/C# web applications using Microsoft Development Products
• You believe in a systematic approach to developing the system through clear documentation (flowcharts, layouts, & etc) of functionality, address every use case through creative solutions.
• You must have defined, designed and built varied components of web-based and/or mobile applications 
• Experience using WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) to build Windows desktop applications is a plus 
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Angular, React, JQuery, D3) is a plus 
• Experience with SQL Server (relational databases) and no-SQL Databases (Apache Cassandra or similar) 
• Strong analytical skills – be a problem solver and be able to develop complex algorithms 
• Strong familiarity of software architecture, databases and design patterns 
• Exposure or understanding of deploying applications on cloud platforms like Azure/AWS
