1. Developing and maintaining web applications: coding, testing, and debugging both client-side (front-end) and server-side (back-end) components of web applications. This includes working with languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript for the front-end, and server-side languages like Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.

2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams: The candidate need to collaborate with other team members, such as UI/UX designers, product/operations managers, and other developers, to understand requirements and implement solutions.

3. Learning and applying new technologies: Given the rapid pace of technological advancement in web development, candidates are often expected to learn and adapt to new frameworks, libraries, and best practices. They might spend time researching and experimenting with new tools or technologies and applying them to current projects. This continuous learning is crucial for personal development and for staying relevant in the field.

Position Title

Full Stack Developer

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

1 year of relevant work experience developing software with:

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree, further education or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related field.

Experience with all of the above + the following areas:

1. Full Stack Development (front end and backend),
2. TypeScript
3. React Native
4. Javascript
5. AWS

Note: Development experience with Unix / Linux and the ability to learn other coding languages as needed will be favourable.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software and new user-facing features in Byzwiz products.
2. Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
3. Write client-side code for web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
4. Contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems.

Technical Roles and Responsibilities

-  Demonstrate a systematic and disciplined architecture, system design and programming approach following a standard software development lifecycle

-  Meticulous attention to detail and strong focus on clear and practical documentation

-  Work closely with senior management, Development Manager, Project Manager, and a team of developers.

- Design, Code, Unit Test and support Software components

-  Deliver quality software in a time following standard software development processes

-  Analyze problems raised in software development or production environments and provide timely solutions

-  Develop, prepare and maintain system documentation, including program descriptions, operational procedures etc.

-  Act as the second line of support during production problems.

Mandatory Skills:

Software Engineering

u  Strong experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.

u  Experience in software development using open source technologies.

u  Experience in automated software testing.

u  Knowledge in domain-driven design, design patterns and enterprise integration patterns.

u  Must have experience in delivering software via complete Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

Software Development

u  Must be able to code in Java (SpingBoot and Spring Cloud Services).

u  Experience in some of the technologies below:

o PaaS: Pivotal Cloud Foundy/Openshift/ AWS/ Azure/ Docker/ Kubernetes

o Data: MySQL/ Postgres/ Oracle/ MongoDB/ Elasticsearch

o Cache: Redis/ Memcached

o UI: HTML5,Bootstrap, CSS, Angular 4/ ReactJS/RxJS

 - Strong knowledge in CI/CD toolset such as Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins, BitBucket, SonarQube, Fortify,  Flyway, Jira and Confluence.

-  Strong knowledge in automated testing toolset such as jUnit, Mockito, cucumber, Selenium etc.

-  Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy and Linux shell.
