Sr. Director - Analytics

Minimum 5 years of experience in NestJS and NodeJS backend development.

● Strong expertise in microservices architecture.

SpringML is looking to hire a top-notch Data Engineer who is passionate about working with data and using the latest distributed framework to process large datasets. As a Data Engineer, your primary role will be to design and build data pipelines. You will be focused on helping client projects on data integration, data prep and implementing machine learning on datasets. In this role, you will work on some of the latest technologies, collaborate with partners on early win, consultative approach with clients, interact daily with executive leadership, and help build a great company. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development and management of two of our customer facing websites. You should excel in working with scaling applications and frameworks.

The core skillset required is:

* Wordpress (inbuilt functions, theme and architecture level understanding)

* PHP

* MySQL

* HTML5 / CSS3

* Javascript (and related frameworks/libraries)

* Git

* RESTful APIs

Responsibilities

• Translating designs and functionality into code
• Maintaining dev and live versions of websites
• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally with external and internal teams
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Mentorship and Support

* You will work directly with the Co-Founder of the business who will provide direct mentorship both around development as well as (if interested) help you cultivate business-side skills

• 5+ years of software development or site reliability engineering or equivalent experience
• Skilled at problem solving, algorithms, and data structures
• Building tools and scripting frameworks from scratch
• Working with Cloud Automation tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, aws-cli
• Scripting languages like Python, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, Perl etc.
• Configuration automation using Ansible or equivalent tools
• Exposure to Windows, Linux administration skills
• Project management tools like Jira, Trello
• Prior experience in dealing with Datastore technologies like Postgres, MySQL, SQL, DynamoDB is desirable
• Familiarity with basic networking, security and cloud engineering concepts
• Team player who is eager to help others to succeed through mentoring and leading by example
• Highly collaborative with effective written and verbal communication skills

Essential Duties:

• Work directly with clients to provide rapid and accurate analysis of production issues (including solution tracking).
• Answer customer questions, file bugs, and reproduce, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Own and drive customer issues from start to finish.
• Become an expert on a given product domain from both a business and technical standpoint.
• Handle urgent escalation issues, ensuring we accurately prioritize based on severity and customer impact.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related. We will also consider other significant technical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of application support experience. 
• Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL skills required.
• Order-To-Cash (O2C) or Procure-To-Pay (P2P) cycle experience in Oracle EBS (Financials). Other ERPs can also be considered. 
• Excellent spoken and written English. All customer communications are in English.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to adjust to the technical level of the audience and explain complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work with a global teams and build strong cross-functional relationships.
