Position Overview :

As a Senior QA Engineer with a focus on programming, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through rigorous testing and automation. Leveraging your expertise in programming languages and testing frameworks, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions and a passion for excellence in software testing.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test suites using advanced programming languages and testing frameworks.

- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test objectives.

- Develop innovative testing methodologies to validate complex software systems, including functional, non-functional, and integration testing.

- Implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

- Conduct thorough code reviews, identify defects, and drive resolution to ensure product quality and reliability.

- Mentor junior QA team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation and programming.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, with a deep understanding of software development principles.

- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, and experience working in Agile teams.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset towards quality assurance.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus.

Role and responsibility

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testing documentation.
• Allocate work across the team to ensure business requirements are met.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Establish QA metrics, goals, and objectives in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Manage the QA testing environment, including configuring test environments and maintaining test data integrity.
• Expert in the API testing.
• Proficient in the database testing
• Experienced with J Meter
• Participating in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and customer support, to identify quality issues and drive resolution.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications, systems, and products to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Min 6 years of experience in software testing
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of testers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Quality Center)
• High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
• Having experience in automation testing will be an added advantage like selenium, APM, Rest Assured/Karate Framework, Jenkin

Required Qualifications –

Desired Skills –

• About 2 – 4 years of experience in software design, planning, and development
• Knowledge of Java and strong object-oriented development
• Experience in hands-on Selenium automation test case development
• Familiarity with Android and iOS mobile application development is preferred
• Knowledge of Ant, JUnit, and Appium Mobile Application Automation framework is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with software development tools such as Jenkins, bitbucket, etc
• Great attention to detail

• Ensure the quality of software products we build
• Author test documentation including test plans, test cases & scenarios and develop automated test suites.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Collaborate with QA Lead to implement effective strategies and test plans.

• Take ownership of software defects from discovery through to closure.
• Analyze test logs; create test reports, coordinate with stakeholders

Preferred Requirements

• • Experience of 2-5 years in App testing
  • Experience with IDE like XCode and Android Studio.
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, GIT, SQL, and databases.
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Understanding security fundamentals (e.g., authentication, cryptography) is desirable.
