We are headquartered in Central Bangalore with a team of 150+ and growing. You will join the Bangalore based Engineering team as a senior member and work at the intersection of Energy, Weather & Climate Sciences and AI. 

Responsibilities:

● Engineering - Take complete ownership of engineering stacks including Data Engineering and MLOps. Define and maintain software systems architecture for high availability 24x7 systems.

● Leadership - Lead a team of engineers and analysts managing engineering development as well as round the clock service delivery. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and contribute towards their professional growth. Manage weekly and monthly reviews with team members and senior management.

● Product Development - Contribute towards new product development through engineering solutions to product requirements. Interact with cross-functional teams to bring forward a technology perspective.

● Operations - Manage delivery of critical services to power utilities with expectations of zero downtime. Take ownership for uninterrupted product uptime. 

Requirements:

● 4-5 years of experience building highly available systems

● 2-3 years experience leading a team of engineers and analysts

● Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

● Proficient in python programming skills and expertise with data engineering and machine learning deployment

● Experience in databases including MySQL and NoSQL

● Experience in developing and maintaining critical and high availability systems will be given strong preference

● Experience in software design using design principles and architectural modeling.

● Experience working with AWS cloud platform.

● Strong analytical and data driven approach to problem solving

F5 is looking for a Principal Software Engineer with experience in building FIPS-ready cryptography-based security solutions at scale. You will participate in the design and implementation of F5’s Edge Computing platform that is used to deploy global, scalable and secure applications. Your work includes, but not limited to, design, implementation, deployment, operational management, and debugging of security services of F5’s platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and business leaders to understand the requirements for providing FIPS-ready cryptography-based security services for F5’s platform, design solutions, and implement them
• You will develop software for identity related security foundations of Volterra platform - Identity Management, Key Management, Secure Bootstrapping, Authentication, Authorization, Secrets Management, etc.
• You will perform necessary compliance tasks – including building and executing the test suites – required for making systems and libraries ready for FIPS

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 12+ years of software engineering and development experience

• Hands-on experience with FIPS 140-2 and CMVP
• Ability to implement all phases of a development cycle for a software product from understanding requirements, going through design, development and deploy phases
• Good understanding of complexities and security challenges in large-scale distributed systems
• Good understanding of security concepts like IPSec/TLS, PKI, SAML/OAuth, Key management, etc.
• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute etc.) is a plus

About the team

BiteSpeed started out in the dorm rooms of BITS Pilani when we hardly knew much about running a company, in fact most of us hadn’t written a line of code in our lives.

About the role

DeepSource is working on building tools that help developers ship good code. There are over 40 million developers in the world, and all of them write and review code in some form. The Language Engineering team works on the source code analyzers, including both programming languages and configuration-as-code systems. As a member of the Language Engineering team, you will work on building the best, most comprehensive, PHP analyzer in the world. You will add new rules and Autofixes for finding more issues with code and automatically fixing them. You will be involved with the community to understand the problems with static analysis tools in the PHP ecosystem.

• Identify bad code practices in PHP and write new rules to detect them.

• Improve the coverage of automatically fixable issues.

• Ensure fewer false positives are reported by the analyzer.

• Contribute to open-source static analysis tools.

• Experience developing in at least 2 server side languages (PHP, node.js, …)  
• Experience developing in at least 1 client side JS framework (ReactJS, Angular, …)  
• Experience testing software in alignment with the Test Pyramid.  
• Experience with datastores, either SQL (MySQL preferred) or NoSQL, and the ability to talk deeply about them.  
• Able to identify the source of complex problems occurring as a result of multiple systems interacting (experience with observability tools such as datadog/newrelic is a plus).   
• Experience working on a team of 5 engineers plus supporting roles (e.g. QA, design, etc), preferably as a Senior Software Engineer.  
• Experience with code review, being able to sign-off on another team member’s code ensuring high quality standards.  
• Be self-sustained even when tackling the highest profile, most difficult work across the organization.  
• Willingness to accept responsibility and be accountable not only for your own work but the work of the team as a whole.  
• Experience working with other people’s code, how to dig into it and make tactical changes with minimal side effects.  
• A solid understanding of how to break down user stories and give estimates that include accessibility and security requirements.
