Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Engineer with a strong background in FastAPI, Django, and hands-on exposure to MLOps and LLMOps practices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend solutions, integrating AI/ML models into production environments, and implementing efficient pipelines for machine learning and large language model operations.

Mandatory Skills : Python, FastAPI, Django, MLOps, LLMOps, REST API development, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI, Django).
• Design and implement API endpoints for high-performance and secure data exchange.
• Collaborate with data science teams to deploy ML/LLM models into production using MLOps/LLMOps best practices.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for ML models and ensure seamless integration with backend systems.
• Implement model monitoring, versioning, and retraining workflows for machine learning and large language models.
• Optimize backend performance for scalability and reliability in AI-driven applications.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for deployment and orchestration.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and security for all backend and model deployment workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 4 to 8 years of experience as a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python.
• Proficient in FastAPI and Django frameworks for API and backend development.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps and LLMOps workflows (model deployment, monitoring, scaling).
• Familiarity with machine learning model lifecycle and integration into production systems.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Good understanding of Git, version control, and testing frameworks.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with LangChain, Hugging Face, or similar LLM frameworks.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, feature engineering, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Understanding of vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, etc.).

Education :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Job Description

Required Skills: 

• Demonstrated and strong experience with Java Development (1.8 and above), Spring Boot, ability to design API and RESTful services, and an understanding of transactions
• Strong experience writing Microservices using Java 1.8 and above.
• Good Experience in Behavior Driven Design ( Cucumber , Gherkin ).
• Data design experience in application, noSQL, familiarity with modern technology and architecture (cloud, virtualization, object stores, etc.), and experience with SDLC tools and agile development methodology
• Experience with Angular JS preferred.
• Experience with spring cloud , swagger and devOps tools preferred
• Experience in Domain Driven Design preferred.
• Experience with Mulesoft preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

Desired Candidate profile: 
1.     A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education from Elite College or institution and work experience.
2.     4+ years of Software Development experience.
3.     Excellent object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, C++ on a UNIX or Linux platform).
4.     Very strong software development background including design patterns, data structures, test-driven development.
5.     Ability to design and implement systems end to end on your own while maintaining highest coding standards.
6.     Excellent knowledge of design patterns and ability to reflect it in their code.
7.     Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers on the same.
8.     Mandatory work experience in skills sets: REST API, JDBC, RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
9.     Solid Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
10.  Software development experience in Servlet, JSP, Spring, AWS, S3, SQS, building web services and highly scalable applications or Google Cloud Suite.
11.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• 5+ years of software development experience including 4+ years of deep, hands on experience in building highly scalable web-based backend applications using Java and Spring ecosystem
• BE/BTech in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Great problem-solving skills with solid data structures and algorithms knowledge
• Has extensively used the Spring ecosystem – Spring Boot, REST API Development, ORM tools like Hibernate
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Multi-Threading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
• Experience of coaching and mentoring junior developers with good delegation and time-management skills
• Implemented CI/CD in any of the projects done
• Strong understanding of Agile and Lean software development processes and practices
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of Elastic Search
• Has designed relational databases; conversant with SQL
• Knowledge of Jenkins/ Docker and Devops
• Knowledge of Redis or similar technology
• Worked with some or all of these AWS services: EC2; lambda; SQS/SNS; Elastic Search, Transcoder
• Understanding and experience of building services and applications using principles of service-oriented architecture, preferable using REST or SOAP

As a Senior Software Engineer - I,you'll take on complex problems that span multiple components and teams. As SSE - I, you could expect to: 

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which includes: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support
• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules and that handles interaction between multiple components. 
• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions
• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable
