Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced backend developer, who is proactive, a quick learner, and has a go-getter attitude to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality server-side web applications as well as for the integration of the front-end part. It is an individual contributor role wherein you would work with a small but highly competitive and effective team.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in the development of high-performance APIs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Advanced debugging/testing/optimization skills.
• Analyze and maintain existing software applications.
• Design highly scalable, testable code.
• Discover and fix programming bugs.

Requirements:

• Prior work experience as a backend developer
• Hands-on experience in PHP, Node js, MySQL, REST APIs, MicroServices, Apache.
• Good understanding of technology-related products and services.
• Exposure to Azure/Google cloud, any PHP Framework and Angular is a plus
• BE/BTech Computers, MSc/MCA or similar
• Experience: 2 to 6 years

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and build the system which enables the logistics team to store and deliver 15 million products per month to customers across 20 cities in India
• Work on the vision, roadmap, and processes that make customer delivery experience more delightful
• Work across teams to design a platform that scales and is flexible enough for various kinds of future scenarios
• Work on optimizing the whole logistics supply chain from warehouse to customer
• Innovate to improve the efficiency of the existing supply chain systems
  Desired skills & abilities:
• 3-6 years of experience in software development
• B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering degree/experience
• Experience in architecture and system design 2Experience in running high performance distributed systems
• Understanding and implementation of security and data
• Highly experienced in back-end programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript
• Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push

Tech Stack:

Golang, Microservices (AWS ECS, App Mesh), Ruby, Rails, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NATS.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails OR 2+ years of experience with Golang.

- 5+ years of experience with MySQL or Postgres and relational data modelling.

- Experience consuming and writing REST APIs.

- Focus on writing clear, maintainable, tested code.

- Experience with Git, continuous integration and regular deployments.

- Experience with complex Rails projects and design principles.

- Strong willingness to learn and use Golang at work.

- Experience with CI (continuous integration).

- Strong understanding of Linux.

- Strong understanding of Docker.

- You must be a strong communicator who can explain complex ideas to anyone regardless of background.

Preferred Skills:

- 2+ years of experience with Golang.

- Experience with Microservices deployed in Kubernetes.

- Experience with AWS ECS, App Mesh and Lambda.

- Ability and interest in mentoring junior engineers a plus.

- Excellent written communication skills and diligent ability to contribute to the team by performing code reviews.
