About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on specialist who can single-handedly drive qualified traffic and leads to our website. You will be responsible for the full stack of on-site work (HTML, CSS, WordPress) and the full stack of off-site work (PR, guest posting, backlinks, local SEO). You should be equally comfortable editing a WordPress theme, running a technical site audit, pitching a journalist, and using AI tools to scale content and outreach. If you have shipped organic growth for a brand, measurably - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Web Development & WordPress
- HTML & CSS — build, edit, and maintain landing pages and blog templates using clean, semantic markup.
- WordPress — manage themes, plugins, custom post types, page builders (Elementor / Gutenberg), and site speed optimization.
- Site hygiene — implement schema markup, redirects, canonical tags, hreflang, and structured data without breaking the site.
Technical SEO
- Run full technical audits — using Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush, and translate findings into a prioritized fix list.
- Own — Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, indexation, internal linking architecture, and XML sitemaps.
- Diagnose and resolve indexation issues — via Google Search Console, robots.txt directives, and correct use of noindex / canonical tags.
AI-Driven & Local SEO
- AI-powered workflows — use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Surfer, Frase, Jasper) for keyword clustering, content briefs, and SERP analysis at scale.
- GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — optimize for AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, and Gemini — content structured to be cited by generative engines.
- Local SEO — Google Business Profile, local citations, NAP consistency, review generation, and location-page architecture.
- Hyperlocal page building — build city, neighborhood, and pincode-level landing pages with geo-modified content, local schema, service-area targeting, and location-specific link building.
PR, Guest Posting & Backlinks
- Build relationships — with journalists and editors - digital PR pitches, and data-led story ideas.
- Paid guest posting — secure placements on relevant, high-DA publications; manage budget, briefs, and quality checks.
- Acquire white-hat backlinks — through outreach, broken-link building, digital PR, unlinked mentions, and strategic partnerships — no PBNs, no spam.
Growth Ownership
- Own and grow — organic sessions, keyword rankings, referring domains, and — most importantly — qualified leads from organic channels.
- Build — dashboards in GA4, Search Console, and Looker Studio; report weekly on what moved and why.
- Collaborate — with content, design, and paid teams to keep the funnel filled.
What You Must Bring
- Experience 3–6 years hands-on SEO + WordPress, ideally in-house or at a growth-focused agency.
- Coding Comfortable in HTML, CSS, and enough JavaScript to debug — you can crack open a theme and fix it.
- WordPress Themes, plugins, page builders, site speed, and safe migrations.
- Technical SEO Crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, schema, and log-file basics.
- Content & AI Prompt-engineering for scale; briefs, clustering, and editing AI drafts to human quality.
- Off-Page Proven backlink placements on DA 40+ sites; guest-post budget management; PR pitching.
- Local / GEO Google Business Profile, citations, and optimization for AI answer engines.
- Analytics GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs / SEMrush, Looker Studio — you make decisions from data.
- Soft Skills Ownership, clear written English, and the discipline to execute without hand-holding.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js or headless WordPress builds.
- Prior wins with international or Hyper Local SEO.
- A portfolio of published guest posts or PR features you can share.
