About SimpleGrid.AI
SimpleGrid.AI is building a schema-driven AI operating system for physical-world businesses such as factories, D2C brands, export houses, warehouses, and contractors.
Traditional ERP systems like SAP take 12–18 months to deploy and force businesses to adapt to software rather than the other way around. SimpleGrid.AI is solving this by building a schema-driven event architecture powered by AI, enabling companies to deploy operational systems in days instead of months.
The platform is built on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-based architecture, and AI-assisted workflows to model real-world business operations dynamically.
SimpleGrid_JD_Founding_Engineer
As a Founding Engineer, you will work directly with the founder to design and build the core architecture of this system from scratch.
Responsibilities
Core Engineering
- Architect and build core backend systems for a schema-driven operational platform
- Implement event-based data architectures and immutable event ledgers
- Design scalable APIs and backend services
- Build systems for workflow automation, approvals, and operational tracking
Product Development
- Translate real-world business processes into software schemas and domain models
- Work closely with early customers to understand operational workflows
- Rapidly ship features for production deployments
AI Integration
- Integrate LLMs and OCR pipelines for document parsing and operational data ingestion
- Build interfaces where AI interprets inputs but the system validates before committing events
System Architecture
- Design systems using:
- Domain Driven Design
- Event-driven architecture
- Immutable event logs
- Projection-based data models
Early-Stage Startup Work
- Own large parts of the product from design → development → deployment
- Participate in product decisions, architecture discussions, and scaling strategies
- Work directly with the founder and early customers
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (2024–2026) or early-career engineer
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Python
- Experience building and shipping real projects (startup project, open-source, hackathon, deployed application)
- Strong understanding of backend engineering fundamentals
- Ability to work in a high-ambiguity startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience with event sourcing / event-driven architectures
- Experience building AI-enabled products
- Experience with distributed systems or backend architecture
- Familiarity with data modeling and workflow systems
