We are looking for a strong Full Stack Developer to join our team. This person will be involved in active development assignments. You are expected to have between 2 and 6 years of professional experience in any object-oriented languages and have executed considerable work in nodeJS along with any of the modern web application building libraries such as Angular along with at least a working knowledge of developing scalable distributed cloud applications on AWS or any other cloud.

We’re looking for someone who is not only a good full-stack developer but also aware of modern trends in distributed software application development. You’re smart enough to work at top companies, but you’re picky about finding the right role (this is more than just a job, right?). You’re experienced, but you also like to learn new things. And you want to work with smart people and have fun building something great.

In this role you will:

• Design RESTful APIs
• Work with other team members to develop and test highly scalable web applications and services as part of a suite of products in the Data governance domain working with petabyte-scale data
• Design and create services and system architecture for your projects, and contribute and provide feedback to other team members
• Use AWS to set up geographically agnostic systems in the cloud.
• Exercise your strong skills & working knowledge of MySQL and relational databases
• Prototype and develop new ideas and participate in all parts of the lifecycle from research to release
• Work within a small team owning deliverables for our web APIs and front end.
• Use development tools such as AWS Codebuild, git, npm, Visual Studio Code, Serverless framework, Swagger Specs, Angular, Flutter, AWS Lambda, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, SQS, Kafka etc.
• Design and develop dockerized applications that will be deployed flexibly either on the cloud or on-premises depending on business requirements

You’ll have:

• 5+ years of professional development experience using any object-oriented language
• Have developed and delivered at least one application using nodeJs
• Experience with modern web application building libraries such as Angular, Polymer, React
• Solid OOP and software design knowledge – you should know how to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives
• Excellent understanding of HTTP and REST standards
• Experience with relational as well as MySQL databases
• Good experience writing unit and acceptance tests
• Proven experience in developing highly scalable distributed cloud applications on a cloud system, preferably AWS
• You’re a great communicator and are capable of not just doing the work, but teaching others and explaining the “why” behind complicated technical decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building a website based on the given requirements and ensure it’s successfully deployed
• Responsible for designing, planning, and testing new web pages and site features

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENT

• B.Tech. / BE / MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Expertise in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
• Should have prior working experience of at least 3 years as web developer or full stack developer
• Should have done projects in e-commerce or have preferably worked with companies operating in e-commerce
• Should have expert-level knowledge in implementing frontend technologies
• Should have worked in creating backend and have deep understanding of frameworks
• Experience in the complete product development life cycle
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JSON, PHP, XML
• Proficiency in databases, including analytical (e.g., mySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Hive, Elastic etc.)
• Knowledge of architecting or implementing search APIs
• Great understanding of data modeling and RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

Responsibilities:

Senior SW Developer – IoT Platform Development

to join the team of experts at the KONE Services & Solutions R&D. You will work together with other professionals to develop advanced KONE digital solutions that leverage the latest in cloud and connectivity technologies.

You are a cloud development expert who is passionate about designing and implementing solutions for our connectivity solutions. You are familiar with the software development patterns and can turn the architectural plans to concrete SW designs. You understand and appreciate the modern SW development practices. You work at your best when you are working with people, and you enjoy helping others.

You will work in a key role inside our Agile SW development team. Your closest colleagues will be other developers, test professionals and the PO of the team. You will be part of KONE Technology and Innovation unit’s IoT Tribe.

Main responsibilities include,

• Producing more efficient software designs for new features in our IoT platform tribe
• Developing clean and efficient code based on the specifications.
• Unit and Integration Testing for the developed code and integrate with code coverage tools.
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Recommend and execute improvement for the existing offerings from the IoT platform.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Participating in knowledge sharing and demos

To be successful in this role,

• Having a degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• More than 3 years proven experience in developing high volume scalable cloud solutions utilizing platforms like Amazon AWS with IoT domain.
• Having hands on development experience with Java, Node JS and TypeScript.
• Experience working with MVC, WEB API, RESTful services with IoT domain

• Team player with capabilities to take the lead and develop own competencies around the core knowledge is a must.
• Understanding of React JS is an added advantage.

• Strong experience with Serverless Cloud Compute Services with AWS or Azure

• Experience in working with AWS platform and its core services like Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CDK, SQS, S3 etc., or its equivalent Azure services
• Understanding of Serverless design, network security, cloud design patterns, high availability and secure systems.

• Hands on experience with both SQL and No-SQL databases.
• Experience on DevOps ways of working with good understanding on CI/CD

• Good hands-on and experience in Ruby on Rails, NodeJS and React/Angular/VueJs
• Knowledge of an SQL Database like MYSQL, Postgres.
• Basic Knowledge of programming in basic data structures and algorithms.
• You should have good experience working with relational and non-relational databases. We use Postgres and Cassandra.
• Good knowledge of version management with git.
• Awareness of TDD.
• CI/CD knowledge would be a huge advantage
• Will to design and maintain large scale distributed systems.
