🎬Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Leader with a focus on building maintainable and scalable applications. The Lead will be responsible for the design and development of Jodo’s fee payments platform and be owning one of the products/verticals. Leads will be closely working

with Product Managers and Founders to execute projects from ideation to completion. As a hands-on Team Lead, you will take ownership of services/systems and guide a team of

developers.

📈Key Responsibilities

● Own and drive the development of one or more of Jodo’s products

● Take the lead in the design and development of the backend platform

● Mentor a team of developers, promote collaboration and engagement, and promote practices that improve the developer experience

● Work closely with Product Managers and Founders to brainstorm requirements and prioritize

● Own quality - actively participate in code reviews

● Own reliability - continuously monitor Production Health, proactively fix production issues

● Own execution - Plan and delegate work for the team, optimize for speed of development and incremental delivery

📃Requirements

● 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development

● 1+ years of leading a team

● Experience in working with distributed systems

● Proficient in building Microservices/RESTful APIs with any modern tech stack

● Working knowledge of relational and nonrelational databases

● Prior working knowledge of Python/Django is a big plus

● Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools

● Knowledge of AWS or any other Cloud Platform services

● Champion code quality and drive best practices

● Ability to analyze and convert business requirements into technical requirements

● Self-starter and ability to take the ownership

● Prior experience working in a startup environment is great to have

Backend/Fullstack Developer

Role specific info:

• 4-12 years of experience building good quality production software
• Excellent knowledge of at least one ecosystem based on Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, Go/Scala/Clojure
• Good OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge
• Familiar with datastores like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Redshift etc.

Developer – Golang 

Responsibilities: 

• An individual contributor who will be part of the Software R&D team working on the following areas 

• Backend work in Golang, Micro services architecture 

• Work with internal team and customers to deliver solutions that will meet the customer needs with respect to the performance security, scalability and functionality. 

• Implementation of API and authentication methods using JWT 

• Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code 

• Translating software requirements into stable, working, high performance software 

Skills 

• 2-5 years of experience in Go programming language 

• Strong experience in working with Goroutine and channel patterns 

• Experience in Go framework for DB, JSON, Sockets, Web Frameworks and tools 

• Knowledge of logging and configuration packages like Zap, Viper 

• Experience in writing unit tests for Golang code 

• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git or Azure Repo 

• Should have knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or any RDBMS 

• Good knowledge of Linux / Ubuntu 

Programming Languages: Perl, Python, java. Perl programming with strong OOPs knowledge.

• UI: HTML, JS
• System: Linux must have – good knowledge and shell scripting experience.
• Prior experience in infrastructure automation, monitoring will definitely help.

Description:

The person in this role:

- Will be involved in developing new monitoring scripts, enhancement & defect fixes on existing monitors

- Have to be on-call to support any incoming production/P1 internal issues which need urgent attention (team members are on call for a week and we have a weekly rotation policy within the team)
