Senior Python Developer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with a focus on Front-End Development with Strong proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Sass, Bootstrap and modern JavaScript frameworks including ReactJS and jQuery to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that enhances workflow organization and automates various internal processes within the organization. The role involves continuous improvement of our software solutions to save man-hours and ensure overall organizational efficiency. Key tasks include development, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and maintenance of both new and existing programs.

Key responsibilities:

1)    Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code/flows that automate internal processes and improve workflow efficiency.

2)    Testing and Maintenance: Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance of created or integrated programs.

3)    UI/UX Development and Design: Design and develop intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces in the software.

4)    Web Services Integration: Integrate UI with web services to ensure seamless functionality.

5)    Adherence to Standards: Follow preferred development methodologies and adhere to organizational development standards.

6)    Collaboration: To work closely with other team members to ensure the successful implementation of projects. Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, APIs, and software components to aid in knowledge sharing and future development.

7)    Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest developments in the Frond end development ecosystem and engage in best practices of software engineering.

• A minimum of 4-10 years of experience into data integration/orchestration services,  service architecture and providing data driven solutions for client requirements 
• Experience on Microsoft Azure cloud and Snowflake SQL, database query/performance tuning. 
• Experience with Qlik Replicate and Compose tools(Change Data Capture) tools is considered a plus 
• Strong Data warehousing Concepts, ETL tools such as Talend Cloud Data Integration tool is must 
• Exposure to the financial domain knowledge is considered a plus. 
• Cloud Managed Services such as source control code Github, MS Azure/Devops is considered a plus. 
• Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development ( CRD) considered a plus. 
• Experience in tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel. 
• Exposure to Third party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI and other Rating agencies is a plus. 
• Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills is a must.

Job Description:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
• Strong experience in front-end technologies, particularly React.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward tackling challenges

Presentation & Demonstration – Conducting product demos and explaining the benefits of CCTV solutions.

Market Awareness – Understanding competitor products, pricing strategies, and market trends.

After-Sales Support – Coordinating with technical teams to ensure installation, troubleshooting, and customer satisfaction.

Reporting & Documentation – Preparing sales reports, quotations, and proposals for clients.

Basic IT & Networking Skills – Knowledge of IP addressing, PoE (Power over Ethernet), and remote access configurations.

Mandatory: Hands on experience working with Swift 3 , Swift 4. Very strong logical skills. Good hold on operating system concepts and data structure. Experience with web services , core-data , camera kit , image caching concepts, keychain , past experience working with one of the design patterns like MVC / MVVM / Viper , network check.

Good to have: Rx-Swift experience , video / image filter experience , media player usage , complex UX effects , couch-db , RealM.Knowledge of GIT management , Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices.

Your role and our tech stack
Reporting to the founder, you will be expected to develop, deploy and oversee the execution of the tech strategy, product road-map and operations to ensure alignment with our businesses goals as we grow and scale. You will play a key part in the organisation's success, taking the current MVP and developing it further to move the company through to early stage funding and into profit.

Quesst's is built using React.js [Frontend], Node.js [Backend], PostgreSQL [DB], Amazon EC2 [Application Hosting], Amazon S3 [Media Storage Service], and Amazon SES [Email Sending Service]. You will be responsible for implementing full-stack features and collaborate with other team members to plan each sprint. You’ll be working across the entire system architecture and be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining restful APIs, micro-services and databases.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop, improve and optimize the structure, quality, and extensibility of current software technologies, codebases and databases
• Prototype ideas to quickly access viability and iterate based on feedback from the team
• Build robust, web-based applications interacting with databases, file-systems and APIs
• Write custom code or integrate open source technologies as needed to find solutions to problems
• Design and build effective APIs; Create servers and databases for functionality
• Design client-side and server-side architecture; Design the data model ensuring scalability

Your qualifications

• Minimum of BSc in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Software Engineering or a comparable degree program
• Proven experience of 2-5 years of full-stack development of web applications; 2+ years building front-end interfaces with React.js & Redux workflows and 2+ years building back-end and maintaining server applications on Node.js, PostgreSQL and designing APIs
• Expert in traditional web-dev stack (HTML5, CSS3, JS); Strong in core JavaScript (ES5, ES6, ESNext, TypeORM and Typescript) and JS object model
• Experience with Linux environments and using the shell and command line terminals (preferred)
• Professional coding experience in object-oriented and scripting languages; Extensive experience building client-side web applications using React
• Proficient with:
  • JavaScript Frameworks (ReactJS/NextJS/Redux) and Node.js Frameworks (Express.js)
  • Client-side MVC frameworks such as NodeJS, React JS, NextJS, Redux, and AngularJS; Knowledge of isomorphic React
  • Configuration of various servers to run web application servers, databases, etc.; Web server technologies like Nginx, NodeJS, Apache, etc.
  • Frontend CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Material UI and preprocessors like SASS and SCSS/LESS
  • Writing and integrating middleware; Experience with Redux Saga and Thunk
  • Architecture, design, queries of Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL and other RDBMS)
  • Modern JS tooling (NPM, Webpack, Babel, ESLint and Prettier)
  • Developer tools, such as Visual Studio Code
  • Code versioning tools and Git version control systems (Github); Containerization systems (Docker)
  • Strong in data structures, XML technologies, JSON parsing
  • Caching frameworks and mechanisms, work-task queues, transactions and messaging queues (Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ and others)
  • Building real-time applications using Web Sockets (Socket.io)
  • Web and mobile push notifications and cloud message APIs (GCM, APNS, OneSignal, etc.)
  • Setting up cron jobs and schedule task execution
  • Handling Services, RESTful, APIs, third party libraries and APIs (Google APIs, AWS, Zendesk, etc.)

• Experience with API gateway, distributed infrastructure architectures and applications tuning/profiling; Experience working with microservices
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments; Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment
• Experience with REST API and web service construction, integration and architecture and working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, Authentication and Security Technologies
• Familiarity with building secure systems (OWASP secure coding practices or similar)
• Architect and cloud-deploy applications on AWS and other cloud providers
• Deep understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Expert level using Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics and others); Experience with open source software development
• Experience with localization and internationalization of applications (working with multi-site setups, multi-language, i18n, etc.)

Some desired extras and good to have skills

• Knowledge of cyber-security, malware analysis, threat detection and/or sandboxing technology
• Preferably has knowledge of working in big data (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) and machine learning ecosystems
• Strong background in security and data analytics and on-premise data experience
• Experience and familiarity with:
  • Architecture, design, queries and aggregation of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra and others)
  • Elasticsearch and ELK stack

Deep expertise and hands on experience in Core java
∙ Hands-on experience with at least 2 years in Spring, Hibernate & Restful web services.
