Looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users

We are building a platform for millennial parents to surround them with personalised support at every step of their parenting journey. The vision is to become their trusted 24*7 buddy right from planning a baby to 12 years of a child.

The plan is to on-board 1 million users at a break-neck speed in the next 6 months using ingenious methods, both online & offline. To support the growth and build multiple features, we are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. The position reports to the Technology Head and based out of Bangalore.

Technology : PHP( CodeIgniter, Laravel etc ),OOPHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL

Responsibilities:

· Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers

· Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules

· Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Requirement:

· Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks {such as Laravel, CodeIgniter etc depending on your technology stack}

· Understanding of synchronous behaviour of PHP

· Understanding of MVC design patterns

· Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3

· Understanding accessibility and security compliance

· Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

· Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

· User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

· Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

· Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

· Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

· Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages

· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Essential skills: PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
• Code Ignitor and Laravel development experience a big plus
• Advanced knowledge of SQL is important
• Should be able to analyze requirement and design robust system
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Experience: 2+ years

• 2+ years of strong programming skills in developing applications using Haskell (OR) any functional programming language
• Experience in Kubernetes
• Experience in writing well-documented, clean JavaScript code. TypeScript is a plus

• Understand the fundamentals of Software Engineering, such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns
• Ability to write Java applications using Spring, Springboot or any other microservices frameworks
• Experience in the development of REST applications, in Java or Kotlin
• Capable of writing effective APIs
• Solid knowledge of JVM fundamentals such as classloading, memory management, garbage collection
• Demonstrated experience in platform API design and development
• Knowledge on microservice and event-driven architecture
• Experience in working with version control frameworks such as Git (preferable), SVN
•      Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or Cassandra) & Relational Databases
• Solid understanding of TDD & Agile principles such as CI / CD, with a proven track record of implementing solutions centred around those concepts
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Fluent in responsive design and mobile / tablet UI / UX
  • Knowledge about UI testing automation
  • Web mobile (touch devices: mobiles and tablets) experience is expected
  • UI or API Performance: should have hands-on experience of optimizing page load, rendering,caching.
  • Good understanding of AJAX and its UI implications
  • Sense for appeal & aesthetics from a usability perspective
