Requirements
- You need to be excited about the problem that we are trying to solve
- Should have excellent command over designing systems with a minimum experience of 4 years.
- Should have experience with various database flavors and writing complex queries. We work with Postgres, Redshift, ElasticSearch, TimescaleDB, and Redis.
- Additional knowledge in Golang will be an advantage
- Strong Data Structures and Algorithms knowledge

- You need to be comfortable working in a remote environment (Good internet connection and availability on phone is required)

Nektar’s mission is to help people work smarter. Our first product is an assistant for sales teams that will help close more deals faster.
Sales organizations have spent hundreds of billions of dollars on systems of record to collect vast amounts of data. This data might produce pretty graphs on managers’ reports but it hardly ever helps the salesperson in the field move their deals forward. This is why, in 2019, less than 30% of salespeople used their organization’s CRM as intended, and 57% of the sales teams globally missed their sales quota.

- We’re looking for engineers who can hit the ground running, with at least a year’s experience building production servers using Node.js. Experience with the frontend is positive but not required.

- As a startup, we prefer generalists over specialists and product-focused engineers who can empathize with users. Experience working at a fast-growing startup would be positive but is not required.

We’re an all-remote engineering team from the beginning (yes, since before the pandemic!), and we’ve built a fantastic remote-friendly culture. We support every team member to set up a great personal workspace that fits them — whether that’s a home office, a co-working space or just hanging out at a coffee shop. We are location agnostic and you can literally choose a location that works for you . Our distributed team currently sits in Singapore, India, Vietnam, Australia and Indonesia.

We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer, with over 4+ years of experience, to directly work with the CTO and contribute in building and developing new products and feature sets for NostraGamus. The work will entail the opportunity to explore and utilise the latest developments in the world of technology, and formulate ways to incorporate them into day to day work to create stellar products. The candidate must have had significant exposure in building real products, including working with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams. Prior knowledge in building games at scale is highly desirable, but not necessarily.
The following skillsets are highly essential:
- Expertise in Node Js&Javascript, and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college
- Deep knowledge on Database systems, especially PostgreSQL, and any noSQL clones, including knowledge to optimise
- Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets
- Absolute mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments is a must.
- Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines
Bonus Points :
- Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.
- Prior knowledge in building games at scale.
- Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.
- Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real-world applications.
