Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Go Lang.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Go Lang development.
• Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

What will you do everyday?

As a backend engineer you will be responsible for building the Haptik platform which is used by people across the globe. You will be responsible for developing, architecting and scaling the systems that support all the functions of the Haptik platform. While you know how to work hard, you also know how to have fun at work and make friends with your colleagues.

Develop and maintain expertise in backend systems and API development, ensuring seamless integrations and scalable solutions, including:

• Strong expertise in backend systems, including design principles and adherence to good coding practices.
• Proven ability to enhance or develop complex tools at scale with a thorough understanding of system architecture.
• Capability to work cross-functionally with all teams, ensuring seamless implementation of APIs and solutioning for various tools.
• Skilled in high-level task estimation, scoping, and breaking down complex projects into actionable tasks.
• Proficiency in modeling and optimizing database architecture for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Experience collaborating with product teams to build innovative Proof of Concepts (POCs).
• Ability to respond to data requests and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making.
• Active participation in code reviews, automated testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working in a scrum-based agile development environment.
• Commitment to staying updated with technology standards, emerging trends, and software development best practices.

Requirements*:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing scalable products and applications.
• Must Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and expertise in at least one backend framework, with a preference for Django.
• Hands-on experience designing normalized database schemas for large-scale applications using technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Practical knowledge of in-memory data stores like Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with working in agile environments and exposure to tools like Jira is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering results.
• Additional knowledge of RabbitMQ, AWS/Azure services, Docker, MQTT, Lambda functions, Cron jobs, Kibana, and Logstash is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of web servers like Nginx/Apache is considered a valuable asset.

We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities

The platform that will drive payments at slash will be the social profiles and payment pages for the merchants. You will be responsible for building the social platform on which merchants can build their profiles, list items for sale, the APIs that power the entire UI experience for Slash.

• 3+ years of experience in NodeJS Backend development
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design
• Awareness of OOP paradigm, SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience with TypeScript would be a bonus
• Experience with SQL and noSQL databases and ORMs like Sequelize and Mongoose
• Solid understanding of HTTP, Network principles, caching strategies
• Experience with authentication strategies like Oauth, JWT, passport.js

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop highly scalable, highly available, reliable, secure and fault-tolerant systems with minimal guidance for one of the fastest-growing company in India

- Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible design

- Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design philosophy, goals and improve the code quality across the team

- Partner with the product management team to define and execute the feature roadmap

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Mobile, UX etc.) on planning and execution

- Proactively manage stakeholder communication related to deliverables, risks, changes and dependencies

Experience and Skills :

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying applications on Node.JS for large scale applications.

- Strong proficiency with JavaScript

- Understanding of Asynchronous Request handling techniques.

- Deep knowledge of Linux : CentOS, Fedora, or Ubuntu

- Data modeling experience in Relational and NoSQL databases(MONGO DB)

- Ability to understand and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

- Well versed with Agile methodologies, TDD and Test Engineering and Automation

- Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services

- Experience troubleshooting server performance - memory issues, GC tuning, resource leaks, etc.

- Excellent understanding of interactive application development paradigm, memory management, performance/resource optimizations, database interactions, network programming, concurrency and multithreading, fault tolerance, monitoring, security and operability of systems

- Continuously refactor applications to ensure high-quality design

- Ability to plan, prioritize, estimate and execute releases with a good degree of predictability
