Job Description – Manager, Bus Maintenance (North India)

About the Role

YoloBus is looking for an experienced and proactive Manager – Bus Maintenance to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of our bus fleet across North India. The role will be responsible for ensuring maximum fleet uptime, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, managing workshops and vendors, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end maintenance operations for the YoloBus fleet across North India.
• Ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor fleet health, vehicle performance, and breakdown trends to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with workshops, service centers, and OEMs for repairs and maintenance support.
• Ensure fleet availability and minimize vehicle downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and optimize maintenance costs.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Analyze maintenance data, prepare reports, and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor maintenance teams, workshop staff, and regional technical personnel.
• Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure seamless vehicle deployment and service continuity.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in fleet maintenance, workshop management, or commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Prior experience managing bus fleets is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and workshop operations.
• Experience working with Volvo, Scania, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, BharatBenz, or similar commercial vehicle fleets.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across North India.

Job Description:

Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong understanding of Java and its ecosystems.

Proficient in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).

Experience with web application development using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).

Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Experience with microservices architecture.

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Candidate should also have some App development experience in cloud infra. Like familiarity with Docker, Helm Charts, Kubernetes or AWS/Azure k8s infra.

Candidate should have some App development experience in at least one No-SQL Database also (like MongoDB or Cassandra or Redis) apart from RDBMS.

• Understanding of maintenance of existing systems (Virtual machines), Linux stack
• Experience running, operating and maintainence of Kubernetes pods
• Strong Scripting skills
• Experience in AWS
• Knowledge of configuring/optimizing open source tools like Kafka, etc.
• Strong automation maintenance - ability to identify opportunities to speed up build and deploy process with strong validation and automation
• Optimizing and standardizing monitoring, alerting.
• Experience in Google cloud platform
• Experience/ Knowledge  in Python will be an added advantage
• Experience on Monitoring Tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes ,Terraform  etc

• Ability to work remotely or on-site (if Malaysia)
• More than 3 years of experience with writing Solidity smart contract (a) more than 2 years of experience with React JS and Web3 JS OR (b) more than 3 years of experience in Node JS and MongoDB
• Acting as the Senior or Lead position in the team, and built at least one or more commercialized Decentralized Applications (Dapps), such as NFT marketplace, DeFi platform, GameFi or any other relevant applications that solved the industry need
• Passion for best design, developing and coding practices
• Maximizing application performance, uptime, and scalability, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Unit/integration testing experience
• Passionate and having good knowledge about Cryptocurrency / DeFi / NFT / GameFi industry is a huge bonus
• Hands-on experience on Layer 0 or 1 or 2 blockchain infrastructure (Preferably EVM-based public chain) is a huge bonus
