Senior Android Developer

What will you do? (but not limited to)

• Design, develop, and maintain our mobile applications using either Flutter or React Native, ensuring high performance and responsiveness across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate closely with the product and development teams to design and develop innovative features that align with our mission and user needs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices, and conduct code reviews to uphold high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the software to ensure optimal performance, security, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and improvement.
• Drive architectural decisions and lead efforts to scale and improve our codebases.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address their needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Who can apply?

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mobile Application Developer with a proven track record in developing and deploying mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Proficiency in React Native, with a deep understanding of cross-platform mobile development and app architecture.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (for React Native), and familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ, and other IDEs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to think algorithmically and a keen eye for debugging and optimizing code.
• Experience with app development languages such as Swift, Kotlin, or Objective-C and with utilizing RESTful APIs for backend integration.
• Proficient understanding and utilizing code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket.
• Experience in a startup environment and building products from scratch is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on a balance of data, experience, and judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design components by translating product requirements, break down projects into tasks, and provide accurate estimates. Build scalable and reliable technology solutions at a rapid pace
• Work on native Android as well as Angular tech stack while keeping performance goals in mind
• Independently come up with different solutions, extensible Low-level design. Write modular, extensible, readable, and performant code
• Strong unit test and debugging skills 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (git) 
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, influence, and communication skills 
• Build, develop, mentor, and coach junior team members 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must have Working Experience in a product-based organization for at least 18 months.
• At least 2+ years experience and hands-on with mobile technologies
• At least one product build and publish 
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality 
• Work with distributed development teams 
• Ability to resolve problems with support and must understand the mobile ecosystem and its limitations.
• Understand Android Architecture components, strong fundamentals in Android technologies, and aware of new Android changes

SKILLS  REQUIRED 

• Experience with kotlin is a must
• Knowledge of mvvm architecture/ android architecture components
• Knowledge of Rxjava and coroutines for multithreading
• Knowledge of retrofit/okhttp for making HTTP calls
• Knowledge of dependency injection using dagger2
• Knowledge of android framework components like services, fragments, intent services
• Knowledge of sql required 
• Experience in offline data management
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code 

Technical skills:

1. Working experience in using the any of the design principles MVVM or MVP
2. Experience in using Web Services and SQLite data base
3. Experience in Multithreading  concepts – Rx JAVA
4. Experience in using version control systems like SVN, GIT Hub, Bitbucket etc
5. Experience in using Dependency injection principles in android
6. Experience in using design patterns
7. Experience integration with 3rd party API’s like Facebook, gmail, retrofit, Picasso & 3rd party libraries
8. Experience/Knowledge in using google Flutter

⦁ Develop our mobile app using Google's Flutter development framework with modular approach and clean code.

⦁ Write efficient Dart code.

⦁ Closely work with the team to bring out cutting edge mobile experience.

⦁ Maintain source code using Git.

⦁ Focus on understanding customers' requirements and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production-ready code.

Requirements :

⦁ Deep knowledge and Experience in Flutter and Dart (At Least an year).

⦁ Experience building and deploying a moderately complex Flutter app.

⦁ Knowledge of State Management Patterns(Bloc or Provider).

⦁ Familiarity with Design systems.

⦁ Familiarity with RESTful APIs.

⦁ Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms.

⦁ Strong understanding of Dart, its quirks, and workarounds.

⦁ Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates.

⦁ Knowledge of advanced Flutter Concepts like factory constructor, spread operators.

⦁ Proficient understanding of cross-platform compatibility.

⦁ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

⦁ Good understanding of UI rendering behavior and performance.

⦁ Experience in creating animations in Flutter.

⦁ Knowledge of Location Services, Maps, and other common Android/IOS libraries.

Good to have:

⦁ Experience of programming in Android and iOS is a big plus.

⦁ Experience in publishing Flutter apps on the Play Store and Apple App Store is a plus.

⦁ Data Modelling and Knowledge of Domain Driven Design is good to have.
