About the Job:

The Android Developer internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge mobile applications. As an Android Developer intern, you will work closely with our experienced team to create innovative solutions and contribute to real projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Android Development and Kotlin programming language.
• Experience with Javascript, Testing and Debugging techniques.
• Proficiency in Android Studio, Android SDK, Java and Android Application Development.
• Familiarity with XML, RESTful APIs, and version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of SQLite database management.

- Good programming skills in Dart and Object-Oriented concepts.
- Experience with Flutter - Material design, BLOC, Async, Streams,        Navigation.
- Exposure to Android and iOS Mobile Application Stack.
- Experience in working with RESTful APIS, TCP / Sockets.
- Knowledge in version control - Git

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the Android market with experience in Android development. 
• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Kotlin 
• Strong knowledge of how to work with RESTful APIs 
• Strong Familiarity with OOP design principles 
• Integrate with our backend web services to deliver better and faster user experience 
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.) 
• Ability to performance tune and scale applications 
• Agile development experience 
• Experience working at a software product company is a major plus  
• Passion to learn and develop new skills continuously 
• Strong sense of ownership in every application they build 
• Working with highly collaborative and dynamic team environments

Location:

• Remotely, anywhere in India

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

Position:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development
• Proven working experience in Android app development and
• Have published at least one original Android app
• Experience with Android SDK
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Knows how to embed React-Native in a native (iOS/Android) component and vice versa.
• Firm grasp on JS/CSS fundamentals
• Build pixel-perfect, battery smooth UIs ((layouts, animations, etc.))across both mobile platforms
• Good understanding of Design and Architecture Patterns
• Strong focus on app performance
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Grade (Android Studio, IntelliJ)
• Good in debugging
• Experience in iOS app development is preferable.
