Optimo Capital is an RBI-registered NBFC and India's first phygital Loan Against Property lender. We serve MSME business owners across 5 states, offering loans of ₹10L–₹2Cr with 4-day disbursal. Our tech team is actively building AI systems that redefine how lending operations work — from smart underwriting to autonomous calling agents to document intelligence and real-time property valuation.

What You'll Work On

You will be embedded in an early-stage fintech team working hands-on to make AI systems actually work in the real world — not in theory, not in demos, but in production. This means getting deep into existing projects — an autonomous AI calling system, an intelligent document extraction pipeline, and agentic AI frameworks — running experiments, figuring out what works and what doesn't, and iterating fast until it does.

Expect a lot of trial and error. Expect to think from first principles. Expect to question assumptions and find creative solutions to problems that don't have a textbook answer. The job is as much about curiosity and persistence as it is about technical skill.

Beyond the engineering, you will also be expected to think like a product person — understanding the business impact of what you build, owning parts of the product, and connecting the dots between what the AI does and why it matters to the business.

What We're Looking For

• Person with fundamental thinking in problem solving Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
• Solid programming fundamentals — Python, NodeJS etc and ability to learn new language if required
• Has shipped something: Internship, a project, a GitHub repo, a hackathon submission, or a research prototype that demonstrates end-to-end thinking
• Understands software systems beyond just writing code — APIs, data flows, system design at a basic level
• Can articulate the product reason behind technical decisions — not just "how" but "why"
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and taking ownership of open-ended problems

REQUIRED SKILLS

● Strong Portfolio: Demonstrated design skills across both print and digital

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Contribute to the preparation of the project plans, layouts, and project elevations, considering aesthetic, functional, and contextual factors and designs for infrastructure projects - such as - residential, apartments, villas, commercial, and all necessary structural aspects of a building

2. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents

3. Gather data related to the cost of construction, etc. conduct analysis, and prepare reports to assist in the decision-making process

4. Assist in quality take-offs and cost estimations for materials, Labor, and Equipment required for construction projects

5. Prepare project reports, including written documentation, graphical representation, and presentation to effectively communicate the design proposal

6. Maintain and update city and locality-level data related to construction cost, building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant information

7. Understand the regulatory requirements (all types of regulations applicable for the project) of each city, document and utilize them appropriately during the design of infrastructure projects

8. Participate in site visits to gain a better understanding of the project context.

Requirements -

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0-3 years of industry experience as an automation tester in Selenium/Python and Appium/Python
• Hands on Experience in designing highly reusable and efficient Automation Test framework design in Selenium/Python and Appium/Python and able to maintain/support an automation framework
• Experience in building and adhering the automation processes/standards and guidelines to meet code quality benchmark and robustness of overall framework for future maintenance
• Experience in developing high-quality test automation suite in a cross-browser environment
• Experienced in working with different Data Types, Variables, Operators, Flow Control Statements, and Methods
• Ability to handle exceptions, File I/O, API interactions and Database Operations
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, software testing life cycle and processes.
• Good knowledge of different types of Element Locators, Inspecting Elements and Selenium WebDriver API Commands or Methods
• Rich experience in failure debugging and writing clean & efficient code with strong SQL skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in building end to end automation scripts with code modularity and reusability

Preferred -

• Experience in Automation development in an agile environment

Responsibilities

• Architect, Design and Implement Large scale data processing pipelines using Kafka Streams, PySpark, Fluentd and Druid
• Create custom Operators for Kubernetes, Kubeflow
• Develop data ingestion processes and ETLs
• Assist in dev ops operations
• Design and Implement APIs
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and documentation
• Communicate with stakeholders regarding various aspects of solution.
• Mentor team members on best practices

Key Purpose

Responsible for direction, strategy, planning & execution for the company's human resources management and administration while also managing the industrial relations in a unionized environment which requires special attention.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Prepare the annual human resources budget based on strategic aims and specific business objectives of the company. Review and roll out action plans during quarterly, monthly forecasts to achieve the targets set.

2. Direct and coordinate human resources management operations which include recruitment, training & development, Industrial Relations, and personnel administration. This covers custody and maintenance of all human resource records and documentation and meeting all compliance requirements set by governmental authorities.

3. Develop, update, implement and maintain policies and processes for all human resource operations and ensure that they are clearly understood and followed.

4. Monitor and ensure the timely completion of the annual review of the performance management system in place. Continually revise and update the business objectives and key result areas in consultation with the functional heads to improve the contribution of individuals and teams to business performance thereby aligning with the company- s strategic aims and business objectives.

5. The management of recruitment processes to secure the right person and competencies to satisfy the organization's development/job needs.

6. The development and implementation of organizational group and individual learning processes that achieve the skills and knowledge development to fulfil current and future business success.

7. Managing the relationship with the union as a representative of the management to liaison between the management and the union. To investigate and resolve any complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner. Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counseling in conjunction with the management.

8. Facility management will ensure a clean, hygienic, secure facility in good repair, running efficiently with processes/frequencies / performance measures in place. Printing and stationery stocking & issue and incoming mail distribution will be part of facility management.

Additional Responsibilities :

Travel Management - Ordering flight tickets based on approved travel requisitions, themost economic rates and efficient travel, turnaround times. The domestic & international travel policy ground rules will apply.
