
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our team. The SAP ABAP Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ABAP-based solutions in an SAP environment. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP modules and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of business processes with SAP applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1.ABAP Development:
- Design and develop ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and conversions in SAP.
- Ensure quality coding practices, adhering to performance optimization and security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ABAP programs and custom developments.
2.System Analysis and Design:
- Work closely with business analysts and functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in the blueprinting phase and provide technical expertise to ensure the solution aligns with business needs.
3.Integration:
- Develop custom interfaces between SAP and third-party systems, including inbound and outbound data exchanges.
- Ensure proper integration with SAP modules such as SAP MM, SD, FI, and HR.
4.Performance Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of ABAP programs, focusing on reducing runtime and optimizing database queries.
5.Testing and Debugging:
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing to ensure that all solutions work as expected.
- Support debugging and troubleshooting issues in SAP development.
6.Support & Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support for SAP applications, including resolving incidents and handling change requests.
- Assist in the deployment of ABAP solutions into production environments and ensure smooth transitions.
7.Documentation:
- Prepare detailed technical documentation for the developments created, including the logic behind the ABAP code and integration points.
- Maintain up-to-date records of changes made in the system, including code versioning.
8.Collaboration:
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants (FI/CO/SD/MM/HR) to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on the technical scope and development timelines.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably in a full-cycle SAP implementation or support project.
- Strong experience with ABAP programming techniques, including reports, forms, BAPI, RFC, ALV, user exits, and enhancements.
- Experience with SAP modules such as SAP MM, SD, FI, CO, and HR is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, SAPscript, SmartForms, and Workflow.
- Proficiency in writing custom reports, BADI, BAPI, and user-exits.
- Strong experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for ABAP programs.
