ReDesyn is seeking a highly skilled senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will play a crucial role in managing data interchange, maintaining our central database, and ensuring optimal server-side performance to meet front-end demands.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
• Integrate data storage solutions seamlessly.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs effectively.
• Contribute to code quality, organization, and automation efforts.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer or similar role, with software development and infrastructure knowledge as a plus.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, along with standard libraries like RSpec and Devise.
• Strong grasp of Ruby syntax and its nuances.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with server-side templating languages (e.g., Liquid, Slim).
• Knowledge of server-side CSS preprocessors.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful concepts.
• A passion for writing clean, readable Ruby code.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a cohesive system.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.

Job Description

• Strong understanding of the Ruby programming language and Rails framework
• Proficiency in Javascript including experience with React, Angular or Vue.
• Database understanding (Postgres / MySQL).
• Previous experience maintaining production applications.
• Focus on writing clear, maintainable, tested code.

Skills Required

• Navigating and understanding a large codebase.
• Experience with Git, continuous integration and regular deployments.  Understanding and appreciation of UX and usability.
• Excellent communication skills and diligent ability to contribute to the team by performing code reviews.
• Writing tests using Rsp,c and Capybara.

• Identify bad code practices in Ruby and write new analyzers to detect them.
• Improve the coverage of automatically fixable issues.
• Ensure fewer false-positives are reported by the analyzer.
• Work on the internal tools that support analysis runtimes.
• Contribute to open-source static analysis tools.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience in Ruby.
• Understanding of the nuances of execution of the source code (AST, data flow graphs, etc).
• Familiarity with Ruby best practices followed in the industry.
• Native experience with Linux/Unix environment.
• A focus on delivering high-quality code through strong testing practices.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates for this role must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• At least three years of experience writing production code of increasing complexity
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving, and object-oriented analysis and design
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python
• Experience refactoring code and evolving architectures
• Experience crafting unit, integration, functional and regression tests

 Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Experience applying service-oriented architecture techniques to production use cases
• Experience in developing secure, multi-platform mobile applications

Job Description:

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
