Peacock Engineering’s Technical Services team is now looking for an Test Analyst Professional to support the growing demand for Maximo enterprise asset management solutions, working from our office in Bangalore.

• Manual testing
• Functional including Smoke, Integration, System, System integration and Regression testing.
• Limited Non-functional testing.
• Analysing requirements documentation and user stories to build standardised test artifacts.
• Creating Test Data requirements and prerequisites.
• Planning and creating test traceability matrix for the projects involved.
• Provide technical services over the entire lifecycle of a project.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) possess the ability to multi-task.
• Waterfall and Agile methodology work experience.

Skill Requirements - Essential:

• Tech. in Computer Science, Engineering or Business-related field and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four (4) years of work experience.
• Effective communication skills, and the ability to work well in a project team environment.
• Creating Test plan, Test cases, and Test Reporting documentations.

Skill Requirements - Preferable:

• DevOps Methodology work experience.
• API testing- Postman/SOAP API/REST API.
• Knowledge of Automation testing (functional or non-functional).
• Maximo knowledge required to help plan and execute numerous projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute QA processes across core web platforms and internal tools.
• Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test cases for both backend and frontend components.
• Perform thorough manual testing to ensure quality across features and workflows.
• Validate backend APIs using tools like Postman and test end-to-end functionality.
• Log, track, and prioritize bugs using industry-standard tools; collaborate closely with developers for timely resolutions.
• Participate in sprint reviews and proactively contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in QA/testing of web applications.
• Strong foundation in manual testing practices with hands-on experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Exposure to modern web stacks like React.js, Node.js, Next.js, or NestJS is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium or Cypress is a bonus.
• Excellent documentation, bug reporting, and communication skills.
• Sharp attention to detail and a strong user-first mindset.

Manual Tester:

Mandatory Skills:

• Around 3-6 years experience in Manual testing complex applications
• Should be able to follow the defined test plan/strategy and perform test execution and report defects/track to closure
• Should be able to grasp the complex business domain fast and be agile in supporting the Product releases
• Experience using at least one defect management tool – JIRA, HP ALM, ADO etc.
• Software lifecycle management skills: understand the application development tasks and plan testing

Responsibilities

1-Should have played a vital role in Setting up Automation Frameworks, Processes, and Standards.

2-Expert proficiency in automation scripting using Java or other scripting languages.

• Play an active role in QA activities during all phases of our product development from requirements elaboration, design/development, test and deployment
• Responsible for manual and automated testing activities for a multi-tier web-based platform. This includes writing test cases based on business requirements, test data creation, creating and maintaining automated scripts to test front-end, APIs and database changes
• Creating and maintaining all QA related documentation throughout the process

Must have

• At least 2-4 years of experience in manual and automated quality assurance
• Experience on automation tools like TestNG, Selenium (Grid, parallel, SauceLabs), Mocha_Chai frontend or backend test automation
• Good understanding of REST APIs and a solid experience in testing them
• Tools like Jira, Asana or similar bug tracking tool, Confluence - Wiki, Jenkins - CI tool
• Knowledge of different browsers and cross-platform operating systems
• Keen eye for design and functional UX
• Strong in writing SQL queries
• Proficiency in git
• Ability to develop or maintain applications for test automation
• Excellent written and oral communication and organisational skills with the ability to work within a growing company with increasing needs
• Proven track record of ability to handle time-critical projects

Good to have

• Experience in working in a distributed micro-service environment
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or any other programming language
• Hands-on experience in testing frameworks like Pytest or testing platforms like BrowserStack
• Built APIs at some point and practical knowledge on working with them
• Good understanding of CI/CD
• Ability to independently manage test environment deployments and handle issues around it
• Performed load testing of API endpoints
• Should have built an API test automation framework from scratch and maintained it
