The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Data Scientist to help build intelligent systems that understand football at scale.

This is not a research-only role. This is not a notebook-only role.

This is an innovative builder’s role.

You will create production-grade machine learning systems that directly influence how clubs, coaches, scouts, and players make decisions.

As a lead, your role goes beyond building models. You will define technical direction, shape the data science function, mentor talent, and help create the foundations of what this team becomes.

What You’ll Do

• Build and deploy end-to-end ML systems for football intelligence products
• Translate football concepts into scalable data models, metrics, and decision systems
• Own the full ML lifecycle: experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Computer Vision teams to solve real-world problems
• Debug messy, imperfect data and design reliable analytical pipelines
• Define technical direction for the data science function
• Mentor junior team members and raise engineering and analytical standards
• Help hire and shape the future data science team
• Drive prioritization and decision-making in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Constantly engage in learning new and upcoming research topics and subjects in sports analytics
• Obtain a deep and implementational level understanding of established advanced analytical research areas and models

Must-Haves

• Strong ML fundamentals across supervised and unsupervised learning, experimentation, and model evaluation
• Strong Python, SQL, data analysis, and production engineering mindset
• Experience taking ML systems from idea to production
• Strong ownership, judgment, and decision-making ability
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders

Football Passion (Mandatory)

• You must actively follow football and genuinely understand the game.
• Formations, tactical systems, player roles, match flow, performance context - these should feel natural to you.

Good to Have

• Computer vision experience (YOLO, tracking, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Sports analytics experience
• LLM or agentic AI experience
• Public ML or football analytics work (GitHub, blogs, research)

About the Role:

You will work closely with the founders to build mobile SDKs for dyte. Our SDKs allows clients to integrate live audio/video interactions in their own app, it optionally comes with its own user interface.

You will be invovled in making a seamless developer product, code that will run in varying frameworks, operating systems and network conditions.

As in any startup, your responsibilities will vary frequently. You will wear multiple hats and will work with many different technologies. You might have to talk to clients directly, and you have an active say in the direction of our product. We want someone who is passionate about working in this type of environment!

You are expected to lead the mobile development for our mobile SDKs and work closely with Designers and Video engineers to push the limits of mobile communication tech.

What you'll do:

● Solve complex architecture problems 

● Be a leader / active contributor to the team to plan, design, and build solutions for our mobile platform. 

● Work on the UI or UI Components for our SDK 

● Ensure the high performance movement of media to and from the device 

● Explore Flutter / React Native internals to build bleeding edge code 

● Explore and optimize the build toolchain to deliver reliable, performant SDKs 

● Deliver maintainable and high-quality code 

● Work closely with the founders to decide the direction of the product. 

● Ensure that our customer's experience is the very best it can be. You might have to interact with the dev team of our initial clients.

Who you are:

● Expert level understanding of one or more mobile tech - Flutter, React Native, iOS (Swift/Obj-C), Android(Java/Kotlin), NDK. 

● You like deep diving into how things work under the hood. 

● You are experienced working with debugging and profiling tools. 

● You like to squeeze out every bit of performance / size improvement out from your code 

● You are intensely curious and passionate about the prospect of diving deep into new technologies, platforms, and problem spaces. 

● You embrace uncertainty. Our space is a rapidly growing one and specifications are continuously changing. 

● You care about the user experience and you know how to build user-friendly mobile applications.

• You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.
• You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.
• You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

The Role

We are looking for full-stack developers with experience in building user interface components for serverless applications using React. 

The role involves working with the product management team, understand the business requirements, and take full responsibility of design, development, test and release of the applications. 

Requirements:

• Passion for building and delivering great software with a strong sense of ownership. 
• 2+ years of experience in building web applications using React with strong CSS skills.
• Independently develop new user-facing features from designs and wireframes
