Senior Spark QA Engineer – Functional & Performance Testing

Job Description - 

We are looking for a Senior Spark QA Engineer with strong expertise in functional and performance testing of Apache Spark applications and distributed data platforms.

Key Responsibilities -

• Perform manual and automated testing of Spark jobs, Spark SQL queries, and ETL pipelines.
• Execute functional, scalability, and performance testing for Spark workloads.
• Set up and manage Spark clusters on Standalone, YARN, Kubernetes, Mesos, Databricks, EMR, and Dataproc.
• Conduct benchmarking, validation, and performance analysis of Spark applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot distributed system issues.
• Lead QA initiatives and mentor team members.

Required Skills - 

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark.
• Experience in functional and performance testing of distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Spark architecture and optimization techniques.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based Spark environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

• Graduation in planning/ engineering /environment management / water resource management /planning / science and preferably with a master's degree in relevant field.

• Should have experience of working in sanitation projects. Herein sanitation will include both solid & liquid waste management.

• Assist in revision and conceptualization of other incremental interventions that will improve the experience of pilgrims.

• Support the Authority in Open Defecation Free (ODF) and odour free with adequate toilet facilities.

• Support in financial sustainability, including cost optimisation and improving overall performance of the Client.

• Assist in sector-wise citing of toilets in Mela area.

• Drafting SOPs for installation, Operation and maintenance of multiple inventories of toilets like FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) toilets, Stainless Steel toilets, Kannath Toilets, Mobile Toilets, Tin toilets, Urinals etc. ensuring compliance to NGT guidelines.

• Capacity building of the Swacchagrahis (Sanitation Volunteers) through regular trainings and orientations for Clean, Open Defecation Free and odour free Mela.

· Day to day administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the connected Salesforce platforms

· Support the continued build-out of key reports and dashboards, data administration, and integrity upkeep.

· Provide technical specifications and help maintain overall documentation for the business.

Skills and Qualifications

· At least 2 years of experience with technical implementations

· In-depth technical knowledge of Salesforce development and standard features

· Advanced experience with Salesforce.com configurations

· Should be aware about the best practices and governance limits.

· Leverage recommended frameworks.

· Knowledge in SFDC database with SOQL & SOSL

· Strong Salesforce development experience including working knowledge and ability to code in APEX (classes, triggers, batch processes and web services, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, and Force.com.

· Good understanding of Java Scripts and Cascading Style Sheets.

· Should have exposure to lightning aura components.

· Hands-on experience on REST and BULK API’s

· Good understanding of sales business process

· Should be able to understand the issue in live project and identify the RCA.

· Ability to analyse business processes/requirement and suggest the best possible solution.

The Product Owner will work with business groups:

• Managing integration across the platform is also a key role

This role is a strategic, senior-level individual contributor who will own a portfolio of products/initiatives as well; including:

• Owning reporting and analytics on product work,
• Establishing and maintaining metrics to measure the performance of work,
• Creating and sustaining relationships with other organizations (IT, industry teams, etc.),
• Facilitating working sessions/steering committees to drive performance and
• Communicating directly with Senior Leaders from different areas of the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Four year Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
• 5+ years experience as a product owner
• 5+ years experience leading a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects
• 3+ years experience with the Agile methodology
