QA Automation Lead

Job Description

• Work as an Automation Engineer to ensure continuous delivery of the product.
• Create/Update the test environment, code and execute automated test scenarios.
• Execute functional tests and maintain test cases.
• Work with the quality, development and field teams to ensure product quality and usability.
• Monitor and track resolution of defects, and effectively communicate it in daily standup.
• Learn and use open source and cloud technologies as needed

 

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Desired experience range is 4 to 8 years
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
• Expertise in automation language, tool, and scripts such as Java, Selenium or TestCafe, Postman
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge of any one of the public Cloud platforms either AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge and/or experience of a Security product

We are looking for someone who can set up our test infrastructure and work on increasing test coverage for our android & web applications to meet the growing needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and a track record of working with teams to deliver high-quality software with a rapidly growing team of quality assurance engineers.

Responsibilities

• You will help the team in building a reliable, high-quality automation & manual platform from scratch and test the all of Truemeds’ products for quality & stability
• You will help the team to set up test environments for automation & manual activities.
• You will be responsible for using the latest technologies to design and maintain automation & manual testing for existing and new products
• Manage efficiently a team of QA Engineers
• Coach and grow our automated and manual QA team members through mentorship, and participate in the hiring strategy and process
• You will be responsible for reliability for major products/releases and ensure all the product gets QA sign-off before release
• Check/review test cases, test plans, and test strategy and consolidate and share test results with various stakeholders.
• Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through efficient test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking.
• You will have to estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities and Work closely on the deadlines of the project
• Ensure the team is focusing on automation along with manual testing.
• You will be a technology champion/mentor, and work with others to effectively use new technology to build effective automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software testing experience, 2+ years of management or mentoring experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience with API Automation testing
• 1 to 2 years of working experience in performance testing and load testing
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience performing cross-browser testing using any automation testing framework
• Experience in automation of Mobile Native and hybrid applications.
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
• Experience managing a team of QA Engineers
• Proficient using tools like - Postman, Rest Client, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, Appium etc
• Good understanding of eCommerce Domain
• Solid understanding of SQL and API testing experience doing data quality testing with large data sets
• Excellent communication as well as documentation skills

• Knowledge of various testing techniques and the ability to use them in practice (at least 4 years of practical experience)
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Intermediate programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python
• Hands-on experience in frontend, API and/or database test automation: Selenium, Cypress, Serenity BDD, REST API testing, Cucumber
• Experience with defect tracking/management tools such as JIRA.
• Demonstrated experience with industry standard Quality Assurance best practices for Agile and Iterative SDLCs, testing methodologies, implementation, and deployment activities.
• Experience in every-day use of version control system (git)
• Experience in testing in a continuous integration environment Jenkins/TeamCity, Maven
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Working experience in creating test documentation (Test Plan, test report, basic test metrics)
• Experience in working with requirements
• As a consultant, ability to effectively cooperate with the client and/or end users
• Fluent English in speech and writing (frequent communication with English-speaking clients)

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Must have strong knowledge of the programming language (Java).
• Experience in performing performance tests using dedicated tools (e.g. Jmeter)
• Experience in performing usability and/or security tests
• Experience in mobile testing, cloud migration testing or data integrity testing

EXPERIENCE
• The individual should expertise in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Database Testing with at least 4+ years of experience
• The individual should have strong Automation Experience on multiple application platforms, such as Front End(UI),Backend(Webservices/API) and Mobile(Android & iOS)
• Setting up, Design, Develop and Maintaining Automation Frameworks from Scratch as an individual contributor.
• Excellent Designing and Programming skills using any language, such as Java, Python
• Strong command on Automation Tools like Selenium, Rest Assured and Appium

SKILLS
• Strong experience of tools like Selenium / Appium used for Web and Mobile automation

• Should be familiar with BDD/TDD methodologies
• Experience in CI / CD tools like Jenkins to achieve Continuous Integration in Automation
• Should have strong experience with programming languages JAVA / Python

• Responsible for creating performance and load tests and report on performance impact for every release using tools like K6/JMeter
• The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes

Requirement:

• Experience in any one SaaS based Software & High available Infrastructure Architectures
• Financial/Banking domain knowledge (Risk, Fraud, Security Aspects) is a plus
• Debugging/Identifying root cause on faults/performance of an Application (at least one project should

Job Summary:

1. Perform manual & Automated testing on all applications from the earliest opportunity and with precision before any application is deployed to production.

2. Develop and execute automated test suites.

Education/Qualifications:

1. ISTQB Foundation Level Certification

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Technical Skills:

2. Experienced in Manual Testing at levels of Unit, Functional and Non-functional tests.

3. Good development/scripting skills in common languages like JAVA, Python, Ruby, etc.

6. Good understanding of object-oriented programming, J2EE architecture, .NET, etc.

7. Experience with Cloud Technology (e.g.: AWS, GCP, Azure).
