Building out this brand presents significant product and engineering challenges. At the center of solving those challenges is the TAPPP Product Engineering team which is responsible for the TAPPP product end to end.

TAPPP is led by a very able leadership team drawn from Industry leaders from companies like ESPN, Amazon, Blackhawk, Kargocard, Visa, and many others.

Who are we looking for:

A coding enthusiast who loves writing elegant code and developing software systems.

As a Roku developer, you will be a part of the core product development team that is responsible for building high-performant components of the TAPPP platform.

Your responsibility:

• You will be responsible for designing, coding, reviewing, testing, and bug-fixing different modules of the software product that needs to work seamlessly across different environments.
• Write production-quality code in Brightscript / Scenegraph.
• Write unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability.
• You will work in an Agile team, working on the TAPPP revolutionary platform. 
• Interface with other teams and/or third-party vendors to assist in the deployment of applications on Roku platforms.

Mandatory technical skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in developing apps for Roku devices.
• Strong knowledge of BrightScript, SceneGraph, and core scripting languages like JS.
• Experience with REST APIs interaction and a strong understanding of client-server architectures.
• Experience with Media Playback, streaming concepts, HLS, and manifests.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology and Management, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Have experience working and strong understanding of object-oriented programing and cloud technologies
• End to end experience delivering production ready code with Java8, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and API libraries
• Strong experience with unit and integration testing of the Spring Boot APIs.
• Strong understanding and production experience of RESTful API's and microservice architecture.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases and NoSQL databases and experience with writing abstraction layers to communicate with the databases.

• Exposure to Kotlin or other JVM programming languages

Job Description:   

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated data scientist to join our Data Science team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our data-driven initiatives and be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data science solutions that drives business values for stakeholders. This role involves mapping business problems to a formal data science solution, working with wide range of structured and unstructured data, architecture design, creating sophisticated models, setting up operations for the data science product with the support from MLOps team and facilitating business workshops. In a nutshell, this person will represent data science and provide expertise in the full project cycle. Expectation of the successful candidate will be above that of a typical data scientist. Beyond technical expertise, problem solving in complex set-up will be key to the success for this role. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand business needs and identify data science opportunities. 
• Map complex business problems to data science problem, design data science solution using GCP/Azure Databricks platform. 
• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various internal and external sources.  
• Streamlining data science process working with Data Engineering, and Technology teams. 
• Managing multiple analytics projects within a Function to deliver end-to-end data science solutions, creation of insights and identify patterns.
