Python API Developer

SA Role Summary:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and leading the implementation of technology solutions that align with the organization's business goals and technology standards. This role involves working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:

●      Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business processes and technology landscape.

●      Design holistic technology solutions that address business challenges and opportunities, integrating with existing systems and technologies where necessary.

●      Define and document architectural designs, including system components, functionalities, interfaces, and data flows.

●      Taking into account all pillars of the Well-Architected Framework (WAF) on AWS - including Scalability, Resiliency

●      Identifying reusable components in a project and working with the Backend team to generalize those components.

●      Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification (Preferred)

Technical Leadership and Guidance:

●      Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.

●      Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools for the effective development and management of solutions.

●      Ensure the implemented solution is in compliance with the designed architecture. Deviation from the architecture must be evaluated and agreed upon.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

●      Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

●      Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

●      Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, facilitating understanding and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

Project and Risk Management:

●      Participate in project planning activities, including resource allocation, timeline estimation, and risk assessment.

●      Identify potential technical and project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Quality Assurance and Best Practices:

●      Ensure solutions are designed and implemented to high-quality standards, including performance, security, and scalability considerations.

●      Advocate for and ensure adherence to software development best practices, including code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

●      Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to organizational needs.

●      Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency improvements in technology practices.

The key aspects of this role include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Python.

• Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers.

• Handle server-side code for a production platform and contribute to new features

To be the right fit, you'll need:

• More than 4+ years of experience as a software developer in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.

• Good understanding of common design patterns and architecture principles to design reliable and Scalable applications

• Strong communication skills

• Knowledge of databases line NoSQL or MongoDB

• Good to have AWS and Docker or Web services

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS

• Proactively identify risks related to application /deliverables and propose a mitigation plan
• Provide custom solutions as per customer requirements

• Design, build and collect technical materials as part of project executions in a spirit of reusability for future engagements and maintain knowledge on best practices, tools, and reusable components for CAST analysis

2. Building reusable code and libraries for future use
3. Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
4. Implementation of security and data protection
5. Design and implementation of the database schema
6. Design and implementation of data storage solutions
7. Implementing CI/CD pipeline

• Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language Python
• Hands-on experience with Python Frameworks like Django
• Proficient knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes (Relational & NoSQL)
• Understanding of queueing systems like Redis/AWS SQS
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Experience in Docker
• HandsOn Knowledge with implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in managing applications on AWS
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling application to support load changes
• Product wide application-level thinking on API and data modeling
