We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to build highly scalable, resilient, and production-ready backend systems. In this role, you will lead backend development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for large-scale production systems.
• Develop and maintain batch processing and scheduled jobs using Python and Shell scripting.
• Lead backend architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS or GCP.
• Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability by following engineering best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• 3+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, JSON, and REST API design.
• Experience developing batch processing solutions using Python and Shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Git and collaborative branching strategies.
• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Good working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, security best practices, and scalable architecture.
• Experience leading technical discussions, performing code reviews, and mentoring engineering teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML).
• 7 years of software experience designing and deploying large-scale AI/ML applications and complex models.
• Experience with MLOps, establishing best practices for production model monitoring, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers, and translating complex business objectives into scalable AI-driven roadmaps.
• Experience architecting scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Beam, or Dataflow, and deploying models on Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, JAX, and Scikit-learn, with deep statistical modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and architecture of complex, scalable AI/ML systems and infrastructure within the HR engineering domain, ensuring high reliability, performance, and long-term sustainability.
• Drive the development of advanced AI/ML algorithms for HR applications such as talent acquisition and employee engagement using Python and frameworks like TensorFlow and JAX.
• Architect large-scale data pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, and feature engineering using modern data processing frameworks (e.g., Beam, Dataflow), while leading root cause analysis and system troubleshooting.
• Own the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle, including model deployment, monitoring, optimization, and maintenance, while establishing best practices for software development and code quality.

Skills Required:

• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
