Role & Responsibilities

We're seeking an exceptional design leader to manage and guide a team of talented multidisciplinary designers in one of the fastest growing tech startups of the nation to drive it towards becoming the best design team in the industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage the team and the work-

Own a team of multi-disciplinary designers consisting of product designers, visual designers, visual communication designers and researchers.

Along with the design leads, manage various design projects and their priorities.

Help the team in resolving blockers. Ensure the output meets business goals,

deadlines and the quality bar.

Shape up product direction and drive design-led projects-

Take part in ideation, planning and prioritization of our diverse range of products & features keeping the short and long-term goals of the organization in mind.

Find out new directions that we can take in our quest to make payments and finance easy and accessible to all.

Strategise, prioritize and drive design-led projects. Also, help to extend the existing design systems and build new ones.

Mentor, Guide and Lead the Team-

You will be responsible for the growth of the team. Help them grow their soft and hard skills. Help them define their career paths, identify opportunities and level up to do the best work of their lives.

Raise the Bar-

● You will set the bar high. You know what quality looks like and how to help product teams ship at that quality with minimal impact on velocity.

Drive and improve the design process-

Iterate upon and improve the design processes to introduce the best practices within the team. Bring in users to the center of the process and encourage design decisions to be backed by user-behavior and data.

Create frameworks and guidelines for the team to deliver better and faster.

Conduct design reviews and status meetings. Facilitate design sprints, workshops, brainstorming sessions.

Prioritize research and design improvement opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Job Title: Manager – Finance and Accounts (Fashion Retail Brand)

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: 5-8 years in handling Income Tax compliance

Qualification: Chartered Accountant

Industry: fashion/apparel/retail

Skills Required - Direct Taxation, TDS, Transfer Pricing etc

Key Deliverables (Essential Functions & Responsibilities):

Accounts Receivable Management:

·         Oversee revenue accounting and reconciliation of e-commerce/Partner business

·         Ensuring internal financial controls on accounts receivables including driving collection efficiency

·         Manage end-to-end accounts receivable functions PAN India, including team supervision and escalations.

·         Negotiate with banks for favorable merchant transaction rates and cash pickup services.

Financial Reporting & Controls:

·         Review internal control systems to monitor cash and card collections, minimizing discrepancies.

·         Conduct regular evaluations of PAN India transactions to ensure policy adherence.

Taxation & Compliance:

·         Prepare advance tax workings quarterly and ensure timely payments.

·         Validate TDS workings and ensure monthly deposition ensuring statutory compliance.

·         Handle tax audits (u/s 44AB, 80JJA, Transfer Pricing, CSR) and prepare income tax returns in coordination with the tax team.

·         Compute deferred tax assets/liabilities (DTA/DTL) and depreciation under tax regulations.

·         Provide necessary details and respond to notices from tax authorities with support from the direct tax team.

Audit & Governance:

·         Ensure timely completion of Internal /Statutory audits areas relating to accounts receivable and Direct Taxes JOB PROFILE

·         Maintain financial document security and confidentiality.

 Ad hoc Responsibilities:

·         Oversee e-voucher and gift card processes as needed.

·         Support implementation of tax notifications and compliance requirements in coordination with the corporate team.

Key Requirements:

·         Strong knowledge of Direct Tax, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

·         Expertise in tax accounting, compliance, and preparation of tax returns.

·         Proficient in SAP, MS Office, and financial reconciliation tools.

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

·         Ability to develop and maintain exceptional client and vendor relationships.

As a Director Engineering, your role & responsibility will include the following.  

• Define the product roadmap and delivery planning. 
• Provides technical leadership in design, delivery, and support of product software and platforms. 
• Participate in driving technical architectural decisions for the product.

Qualification & Experience

• 15+ years’ experience "living" with various operating systems, development tools  and development methodologies including Java, data structures, Scala, Python,  NodeJS 
• 8+ years of individual contributor software development experience.
• 6+ years management experience in a fast-growing product software  environment with proven ability to lead and engage development, QA and  implementation teams working on multiple projects. 
• Idea generation and creativity in this position are a must, as are the ability to  work with deadlines, manage and complete projects on time and within budget. 
• Proven ability to establish and drive processes and procedures with quantifiable  metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the development  organization. 
• Proven history of delivering on deadlines/releases without compromising quality. 
• Mastery of engineering concepts and core technologies: development models,  programming languages, databases, testing, and documentation. 
• Development experience with compilers, web Services, database engines and  related technologies.
