Yapsody India is hiring a Project Manager. The Project Manager is a key leadership role, reporting to the top Management. The position is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases of Yapsody products, while participating in defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the Yapsody vision. Job Responsibilities • Work together with the Business Owner/ Stake Holder to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines. • Work closely with the Business Owner/ Stake Holder and Business Analysts, for understanding the system's functional and non-functional requirements. • Collaborate with the Product Management in understanding the Product Vision • Demonstrate commitment to our clients with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules • Advocate on behalf of Business Owner to ensure that maximum productivity is achieved for the Company • Provide a software development plan that meets the future needs of the clients and markets, based on updated and prevailing technologies • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as required • Coordinate release and sprint planning for timely delivery of the product • Have a process and execute to conduct daily, weekly update meetings • Help development team resolve human resources issues and facilitate solving technical issues. • Monitor and maintain individual employees' performance and report to a top management with statistics and areas of improvement. • Work closely with development, quality control teams to get estimation and plan of delivery. • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate team leads, to optimize team performance to their optimum performance levels and career development, take actions where required to maintain maximum value in team members. • Utilize Lean methodology for ensuring minimal resource wastage in terms of time, performance and productivity. • Ensure that proper and thorough technical product documentation is captured and made available to the team • Coordinate releases with marketing and support teams to ensure smooth product launches with proper information and resources available to customers • Assess all members of engineering team and make recommendations related to employment and increments • Report to Business Owners on project scheduling, project updates, delays, resource allocation/availability, and any issue that may impact risk and health of the business • Ensure that emergency backup is in place for efficiently resolving product defects and security breaches during off-hours • Schedule and conduct release meetings and weekly demos of work-in-progress Qualifications o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field o Must have at least 3 years' experience as a Project Manager working through the design, development, release cycle and delivering software products to market o A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager o Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) o Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills o Experience with managing the development of SaaS and cloud-based applications o Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues o High command of verbal and written English Interpersonal skills • Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented • Well organized, good communication and reporting skills • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines We invite you to our vibrant YapStudio to share yourself with us over a cappuccino… or even a beer!
