Designation: Senior Salesforce Engineer

Location:  Borivali Mumbai (Work from office)

Reporting to: Chief Technical Architect 

Responsible for the research, design, development, analysis, testing, and implementation of CRM software application systems. Communicates project information to client, project manager, or other design personnel working on projects.   Maintains good working relationships with clients and staff. Writes and maintains complete documentation. Supports team members and ensures established goals and deadlines are met. Keeps management informed of status and significant problems.

• Develop web applications and web services using Salesforce, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce or similar experience using other web development technologies such as Java, SOAP, REST, and XML
• Experience with Capado, which is a tool we use to deploy SF code into Dev/Stage/PROD.
• Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in high-pressure environments; excelling at pinpointing and resolving problems in early project stages to avoid cost/time expenses
• Deliver high quality projects on time, through ability to design architecture, write high quality code, and execute effective unit tests
• Optimize performance tuning for high utilization 24x7 access
• Integrate third party products with existing infrastructure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile projects.
• Work with internal customers to gather business processes and project requirements
• Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
• Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned.
• Updates technical skills as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer
• Salesforce.com, Visualforce, Apex, SOQL, Multi-tier architectures
• Experience with Web Services development: REST/SOAP/SOA/XML/HTML
• XHTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript or other Web 2.0 language experience
• Good understanding of issue troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Commitment to quality through the ability to translate complex technical requirements into functional software using best practices to write high-quality code
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile projects and the ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to other team members

About the role

Checking quality is one of the most important tasks at Anakin. Our clients are pricing their products based on our data, and minor errors on our end can lead to our client's losses of millions of dollars. You would work with multiple tools and with people across various departments to ensure the accuracy of the data being crawled. You would setup manual and automated processes and make sure they run to ensure the highest possible data quality.

Your Responsibilities would be to:

• Understand customer web scraping and data requirements; translate these into test approaches that include exploratory manual/visual testing and any additional automated tests deemed appropriate
• Take ownership of the end-to-end QA process in newly-started projects
• Draw conclusions about data quality by producing basic descriptive statistics, summaries, and visualisations
• Proactively suggest and take ownership of improvements to QA processes and methodologies by employing other technologies and tools, including but not limited to: browser add-ons, Excel add-ons, UI-based test automation tools etc.
• Ensure that project requirements are testable; work with project managers and/or clients to clarify ambiguities before QA begins
• Drive innovation and advanced validation and analytics techniques to ensure data quality for Anakin's customers
• Optimize data quality codebases and systems to monitor the Anakin family of app crawlers
• Configure and optimize the automated and manual testing and deployment systems used to check the quality of billions of data points of over 1000+ crawlers across the company
• Analyze data and bugs that require in-depth investigations
• Interface directly with external customers including managing relationships and steering requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a backend or a full-stack software engineer
• Web scraping experience with Python or Node.js
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
• Should have managed a team of software engineers
• Should be paranoid about data quality

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Deep experience with network debugging across all OSI layers (Wireshark)
• Knowledge of networks or/and cybersecurity
• Broad understanding of the landscape of software engineering design patterns and principles
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a highly stressful environment during removing bugs in run-time within minutes
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
