Planning & QS Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Vetra is looking for an experienced and responsible Production Manager to oversee day-to-day factory operations and ensure smooth execution of production activities. The candidate will be responsible for managing production planning, quality standards, material coordination, team management, and operational efficiency within the manufacturing unit.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, production management experience, and the ability to maintain timelines and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily production activities and ensure smooth factory operations. 
• Ensure orders are completed on time as per production schedules. 
• Maintain product quality standards and reduce rework or defects. 
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for material availability. 
• Monitor machinery and ensure regular maintenance for smooth functioning. 
• Improve production efficiency and reduce material wastage. 
• Maintain accurate production and inventory reports. 
• Coordinate with internal departments for smooth workflow and issue resolution. 
• Ensure workplace discipline, safety, and compliance standards are followed. 
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• 3–5 years of experience in production (indoor )or factory operations. 
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes. 
• Good knowledge of inventory management and quality control. 
• Ability to manage teams, timelines, and factory operations effectively. 
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills. 
• Good communication and reporting abilities. 
• Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting preferred. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Operations, Mechanical, or related field. 
• Prior experience in furniture manufacturing, outdoor furniture, interiors, or related industry preferred.

• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
• Developing the web based software using computer programming languages such as Asp.net, Sql Server, MVC, C# & Entity framework.
• Revise, update, re-factor and debug code.

• Deploying applications on client server.
• Making changes to existing web applications according to the feedback received from the end users or clients.
• Design and develop REST API’s using ASP.NET/C#.

• Implementing world-class Enginerring practices for all the product development teams at WeCP. Ensure these are evangelized and followed.
• Build and maintain SDLC across all of our development and deployment environments: developer, QA, to our production.
• Envision, implement and rollout best development and devops tooling and automation for all of our services.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering with mentoring or leading a team
• Hands-on experience with Nodejs, Angular and AWS is mandatory.
• Tech stack: MEAN, AWS, JavaScript, Docker, SRS
• Experience  Dockerizing existing web applications
• Setting up alerts and monitoring for system infrastructure
• Monitoring system and application health and optimising the cost
• Experience with security, threat modeling, penetration testing, static analysis

About the role

Having found exceptional product/market fit, we’re in the midst of transitioning from 'start-up' to ‘scale-up’, and looking for a full stack engineer to help us scale Plum.

You will have a direct impact on the customer experience through the design and implementation of new features and functionalities in our product. You'll work as part of a small but rapidly growing high-energy team delivering incredible, creative improvements to our product. You'll be in charge of reviewing the implementation of applications following code standards and style guides.

• Spec, build, test, and deliver new features while improving the performance and quality of the product.
• Run test-harness to guarantee the structure, integrity, and design of the application.
• Solve complex CSS, HTML, and User Interface compatibility issues across browsers.
• Optimize JavaScript implementations to ensure that code remains performant.
• Implement front-end development workflows: build systems, dependency management, quality checkers (linting), etc.
• Push things over the line, ship awesome features, and delight customers.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience building web applications with Nodejs, React.
• Comfortable with Responsive Web Design and Development and weave out beautiful code in React.
• Strong product and design sensibilities and has an obsessive attention to detail.
• Write testable, maintainable code that's easy to understand.
• Understand complex problems and break them down into smaller tasks.
• Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration.

• Manage all quality standards and ensure all the processes laid down are well executed and monitored
• Handle all RBI/Internal Audits
• Handle all customer grievances escalated to RBI
• Coordinate with various teams - Operations, Business, Finance, Treasury, Secretarial, Compliance, IT, Customer Experience, etc.
• Act as the first point of contact for all regulatory & compliance advice to the business
• Revise SOPs periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
• Draft, modify and implement company policies
• Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
• Prepare and present reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Key Skills Required

• Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance) with 7+ years of Audit and Compliance experience in the retail and institutional Lending domain
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms for Lending
• Should have strong communication (verbal written) presentation skills
• Should possess strong networking relationship building skills

• Strong interpersonal/ conflict management/ negotiation and feedback providing skills
