Senior Java Developer

Job Summary:

Senior Java developer will be responsible for many duties throughout the development lifecycle of applications, from concept and design right through to testing. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• To support and maintain existing Java code base, debug the application 
• To analyse user and business requirements and design and implement appropriate solutions 
• To design and code programs following in-house standards and good design principles 
• To ensure that all programs are documented to the company standards 
• To create unit test plans and perform unit testing of the programs
• To provide advice and guidance to other members of the team

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms 
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns 
• Good knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) 
• Experience in the Spring Framework 
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) 
• Experience in RESTFul webservices
• Experience with test-driven development 
• Exposure to portal/mobility development - Desired
• Exposure to any of middleware solutions like MQ, Oracle fusion middleware(WebLogic), WebSphere, Open Source

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side application logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. Your primary focus will be on Java-based development, utilizing frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring REST, and Hibernate. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, as well as maintain and improve existing ones. Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic using Java 11 and related technologies. 
• Implement RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring REST to support front-end functionalities. 
• Integrate backend services with databases using Hibernate ORM. 
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. 
• Implement security and data protection measures. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. 
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth operation of backend systems. 
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in backend development. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
• Proven 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer or similar role. 
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language (Java 11 preferred). 
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring REST). 
• Proficiency in ORM frameworks such as Hibernate. 
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). 
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration. 
• Understanding of software design principles and best practices. 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
• Certification in Java or related technologies. 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

Skillset:

·       Non-relational DB - MongoDB basic DB commands to insert, update, delete, find records and Indexing

·       Springboot framework - Spring Data JPA, ORM

·       Event driven architecture - Kafka

·       Tools like Postman, Jenkins, Doppler, IDE, MongoDB atlas

Qualifications:

·       UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization, B.Sc in Any Specialization, BCA in Any Specialization

·       PG: Any Postgraduate

Java Developer JD:

• Strong hands-on code development experience in JAVA 14+, Restful Service, Spring Boot, JDBC Template.
• Experience in SQL scripting
• Experienced in developing and deploying web applications using Spring MVC and Spring boot.
• Hands on experience in one of the IDE’s – Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Experience with Tools- Maven, Jenkins
• Experience in entire software development life cycle from analysis, coding, testing, debugging and publishing using GIT
• AWS Services will be an added advantage
• Experience Kafka, K8s and Containerswill be an added advantage

Excellent communication, interpersonal & analytical skills with proven abilities in resolving the complex software issues.
