We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer with over 10 years of expertise in building robust and scalable web applications. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Laravel, have hands-on experience with AWS, and possess a strong understanding of code architecture and design patterns. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while making critical design and technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex, scalable, and high-performing PHP-based web applications using Laravel.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Make informed design decisions and define the architecture for new and existing projects.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Deploy, configure, and manage applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Leverage AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation for optimized solutions.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance through testing and continuous integration.
• Debug and resolve application issues and implement enhancements in existing systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in PHP development with a strong focus on Laravel.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures.
• Proficient in AWS services.
• Expertise in MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Vue.js, React) is a plus.

Job Description

We’re a small team with insanely large ambitions. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help shape Safe Gold’s product and marketing strategies by processing, analyzing and interpreting data sets. You will work closely with the tech, product and business teams for designing and developing a scalable application architecture, based on business requirements. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in

PHP and Relational as well as NoSql Databases (MySQL,MongoDB). You will have strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction to thrive in our work environment.

What will your job entail:

● Implement a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.

● Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

● Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.

● Implement security and data protection as per industry standards.

● Monitor the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application

● Coordinate with the product team to understand the requirements and formulate a detailed technical documentation.

● Assist junior developers if required.

Key Requirements:

● 4-7 years of experience in software development, at least 1 year of experience in a product based startup is preferable

● Strong understanding of MVC Architecture

● Atleast 2-3 years of working experience in PHP is a must have and proficiency in Laravel Framework will be a plus

● Proficient knowledge of both Relational as well as NoSql Databases (MySQL,MongoDB) is a must have

● Working knowledge of Python and Django/Flask Framework is good to have

● Familiarity with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS

● Strong understanding of fundamental design principles to build a scalable application.

● Experience with implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git).

● At least 2 years of experience working on AWS cloud platform, using tools like EC2,RDS,Lambda, SQS, Elasticache

Work as a member of a team responsible for developing a large-scale, highly available and fault-tolerant SaaS based Leasing & Asset management solution in the commercial real estate space in accordance with established processes. You will apply your knowledge of building scalable, distributed applications and have the opportunity to work with technologies & frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, ReactJS, Heroku, AWS, Postgres DB​

Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following. 

You will be expected to:​

• Contribute to all phases in the software lifecycle – requirements analysis, solution design, development, and deployment
• Maintain high quality standards for the work undertaken and be responsible for the quality of deliverables.
• Ensure assigned projects are developed in accordance with established engineering processes, adhering to scope, schedule constraints and agile project plans
• Guide/mentor the less experienced team members

Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

• Strong programming skills in Ruby with clear understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming. 
• Experience working with Ruby on Rails framework
• Experience on REST API Programming preferably based on a Microservices Architecture
• Good Understanding of Databases (Postgres) and proficiency in database schema designing & writing efficient SQL Queries. 
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
• Experience with distributed systems with specific focus on security and scalability
• Experience with modern cloud technologies such as AWS

• Experience of creating architecture or developing web services using Open source technologies and to integrate applications with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Solid understanding of OOPS, algorithms and data structures.
• Experience on Kafka / Scala / Storm / Elastic Search and Web Services like RESTful.
• Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems
• Extensive experience with version control systems (Git is preferred) and issue tracking systems (JIRA is preferred)
