PHP Developer

We are a Florida-based nonprofit organization seeking a full-time remote AI Programmer to support automation and AI-driven workflows.

Schedule:

42 hours per week

Flexible schedule overlap with EST preferred

Compensation:

$750 to $1,000 + bonus

Long-term contractor role

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain AI-driven websites, apps, and automation systems
• Work with large language model APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.)
• Improve prompt engineering and structured outputs
• Optimize performance and reliability

Requirements:

• Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON)
• Experience with PHP, React.js, and database systems.
• Familiarity with LLM models and prompt design
• Understanding of automation workflows
• Reliable high-speed internet
• Ability to communicate clearly in English

Preferred (not required):

• Experience with image generation APIs
• Experience with Google Sheets / Apps Script
• Experience deploying lightweight cloud functions

Regarding the job role: 

The Senior Developer is responsible for running the day to day operations of a group of developer/s. The individual should exhibit proven experience on our technology stack and product. Our technology stack is primarily written in React, Node + Express with Apollo, GraphQL, Typescript and MySQL on AWS Cloud Services.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute at a senior level to the development process.
• Own the product development lifecycle with the team.
• Work closely with the subordinates both at the technical as well as troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Manage developer allocations on tasks to best utilise time and resources.
• Work with Product Managers and the team to ensure that commitments are met.
• Responsible for the quality of work completed.
• Ability to do code reviews and maintain the quality standards. 
• Ability to conduct manual server deployments and automate the same. 
• Mentor and stimulate team member career growth.

Qualification:

BE/ME in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject, MCA, MSc(IT) or equivalent degree.

Required Skills:

• 4-6 years of proven software development experience with React, Node/Express, CSS/Bootstrap, HTML5 and MySQL or any RDBMS Server.
• Experience in TypeScript, GraphQL, TypeORM, styled components.
• Familiarity with Webpack and bundling the web applications for server deployment.
• Experience using AWS Toolchain or any other public cloud providers.
• Familiarity with shell scripting to automate deployment processes. 
• Ability to write robust, maintainable applications.
• Ability to build and work with distributed, high-volume backend services.
• Have a great understanding of system design, data structures, object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• You should have experience in identifying, debugging and resolving complex production issues.
• Awareness of continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins or other DevOps tools will be an advantage.
• Well versed with agile methodologies and continuous development / integration approaches. 
• People management/mentoring experience is required.

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based Laravel E-commerce and Marketplace websites and maintaining the back-end of mobile applications
• Familiarity using Bagisto, Open Cart or any other PHP e-commerce packages.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the App Development team
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
• Utilize back-end data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development Laravel developer requirements and qualifications
• Previous working experience as a Laravel developer for minimum 2 years
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field
• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and latest version Laravel PHP Framework
• Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
• Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
• MySQL profiling and query optimization

• Check for all web related security including XSS, DDos attacks, cookie hijacking, SQL injection

• Working on our security suite, to build and maintain security software which runs on 1000's of client websites
• Building scalable applications in Symfony and fine tuning our CMS (WordPress/ Magento etc.) plugins
• Working in an agile environment of engineers to architect, design, develop and build our server-side infrastructure for our web security product
• Researching, designing and coding, troubleshooting and supporting. What you create is also what you own
• Writing secure, high quality, modular, testable & well documented code for features outlined in every sprint
• Designing and implementing APIs in support of front-end services with a highly scalable, flexible, and secure backend using the LAMP stack
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Driving strict code review standards among the team
• Ensuring timely delivery of the features/products
• Working with product managers to ensure product delivery status is transparent & the product always looks like how it was imagined
• Working closely with Security & Malware teams in writing APIs, modules
• Being responsible for technical hiring, training, reviewing
