Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer (MLOps)

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS + MLOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure and pipelines on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps practices, cloud architecture, and MLOps frameworks, along with solid Python programming skills.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building and optimising CI/CD pipelines, managing AWS infrastructure, and automating tasks using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, build ECR images, and update services on ECS.
• Automation: Create Python Lambda functions for automation and AWS Batch jobs for GPU processing.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IAM roles, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and deploy microservices on EKS with ALB Ingress.
• Data Processing: Work with AWS Step Functions and EMR for data workflows; troubleshoot Spark jobs.
• Microservices: Deploy ATLAS on ECS, and create AWS Glue crawlers for data integration.
• Strong Experience with MLOps is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

• Experience with AWS services (ECS, ECR, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, Glue, etc.).
• Proficient in CI/CD, Terraform, and Python scripting.
• Experience deploying EKS clusters and using AWS ALB for routing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with EMR and Spark.
• Understanding/experience with AWS EMR, Sagemaker and Databricks would be added advantage

Preferred:

• AWS Certification (DevOps, Solutions Architect, etc.).
• Experience with microservices and GPU-intensive processes.

Job Summary:

Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining the core framework of mobile applications for our platform. This includes tasks such as creating and implementing new features, troubleshooting and debugging any issues, optimizing the performance of the app, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying current with the latest advancements in React Native and mobile app development. We are looking for exceptional candidates who have an in-depth understanding of React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, can create pixel-perfect UI, and are obsessed with creating the best experiences for end users.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Architect and build performant mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
2. Work with managers to provide technical consultation and assist in defining the scope and sizing of work.
3. Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and Cyber Essentials that Avegen adheres to.
4. Lead configuration of our platform HealthMachine™ in line with functional specifications and development of platform modules with a focus on quality and performance.
5. Write well-documented, clean Javascript/TypeScript code to build reusable components in the platform.
6. Maintain code, write automated tests, and assist DevOps in CI/CD to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
7. Lead by example in best practices for software design and quality. You will stay current with tools and technologies to seek out the best needed for the job.
8. Train team members on software design principles and emerging technologies by taking regular engineering workshops.

Requirements:

1. Hands-on experience working in a product company developing consumer-facing mobile apps that are deployed and currently in use in production. He/she must have at least 3 mobile apps live in the Apple App Store/Google Play Store.
2. Proven ability to mentor junior engineers to realize a delivery goal.
3. Solid attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills & excellent troubleshooting skills.
4. In-depth understanding of React and its ecosystem with the latest features.
5. Experience in writing modular, reusable custom JavaScript/TypeScript modules that scale well for high-volume applications.
6. Strong familiarity with native development tools such as Xcode and Android Studio.
7. A positive, “can do” attitude who isn’t afraid to lead the complex React Native implementations.
8. Experience in building mobile apps with intensive server communication (REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, etc.).
9. Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
10. Excellent command of version control systems like Git.
11. Working in Agile/SCRUM methodology, understanding of the application life cycle, and experience working on project management tools like Atlassian JIRA.
12. Good command of the Unix operating system and understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
13. Hands-on experience in database technologies including RDBMS and NoSQL and a firm grasp of data models and ER diagrams.
14. Open source contributions and experience developing your own React Native wrappers for native functionality is a plus.

Qualification:

BE/BTech/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Major accountabilities:

• Responsible for Data Engineering, Foundry Data Pipeline Creation, Foundry Analysis & Reporting, Slate Application development, re-usable code development & management and Integrating Internal or External System with Foundry for data ingestion with high quality.
• Have good understanding on Foundry Platform landscape and it’s capabilities
• Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
• Defines company data assets (data models), Pyspark, spark SQL, jobs to populate data models.
• Designs data integrations and data quality framework.
• Design & Implement integration with Internal, External Systems, F1 AWS platform using Foundry Data Connector or Magritte Agent
• Collaboration with data scientists, data analyst and technology teams to document and leverage their understanding of the Foundry integration with different data sources - Actively participate in agile work practices

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, Message brokers. ex: Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB/Redis/Neo4j, Kafka (2 +years)
• Experience in Front end language and frameworks. JavaScript, must be an expert in one of the front end frameworks (ex: React) (2+)
