About the Role

We’re looking for energetic, sharp-minded Node.js Developers with incredible algorithmic thinking and real world experience in building scalable systems. If you have 4–6 years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, and want to create something meaningful at scale, this is your calling.

What You'll Do

•  Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
•  Write clean, modular code with strong test coverage.
•  Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
•  Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and tech brainstorming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• B-Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

What We're Looking For

•  4–6 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript(6 months atleast).
•  Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
•  Experience working in fast-paced, scalable product environments.
•  Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
•  Prior experience in a high-growth startup or scalable business is a strong plus.
•  Bonus if you come from an IIT or Tier1 engineering background.

Aura is developing a platform to help companies/communities mint, buy, trade and sell NFTs in the easiest manner possible. Developing a state of the art store front customized to the community and a user friendly interface to unlock the digital growth of companies in the gaming, art, music, etc space by leveraging the power of NFTs. Requirements:

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability

• Design and implementation of data storage solutions

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Node.js. Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Proficient understanding of security principles
• Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment
• Must have an understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases like Postgres, MySQL, Mongodb etc.
• Must have an understanding of Cloud: AWS or GCP
• Must have a good understanding of data structures and Algorithms

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on the creation and maintenance of scalable, high-quality software as we grow. You'll work closely with the CTO and quickly gain skills and responsibilities as the team and the technical requirements grow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs leveraging Django classes, ORM and Postgres Database
• Develop solutions that meet business objectives while leveraging industry best practices
• Write high-quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Troubleshoot and debug applications

Technical Competencies

• Expertise with Python language
• Experience with Django: maintaining APIs
• Familiarity using Git, code repositories, branching and merging strategies
• Ability to break down complex concepts, tasks, or problems into more simple, understandable language and action plans
