NodeJS Developer

Job Profile:-

We’re in search of a Back-End Software Engineer that specializes in server-side components. In this role, you’ll primarily work on Node JS, Mongo DB, Redis, building scalable products and will bring a depth of knowledge on algorithms and data structures. As a Back-End Software Engineer, on any given day you might be architecting new features for our customers, refactoring existing code to be more scalable, and seeing changes through to completion in a live environment.

Typical work week look like:-

- Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
- Design and implementation of scalable applications by using asynchronous programming with low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
-Integration of data storage solutions by creating database schemas that represent and support business processes and also Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Explore technical innovation and propose new solutions as and when required.
- Work with engineers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every month.


Our ideal candidate should have:-

- 4+ years of relevant experience in a Tech Startup
- A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BE/BTech or MS in Information Technologies/Computer Science)
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript and knowledge of Node.js and frameworks.
- Strong hands on MongoDB and ability to write aggregation queries.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3.
- Hands-on on code versioning tools, such as Git, Redis, AWS, Sockets

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

• Spent at least 1 yr in a solid back end role
• Experience taking a problem to a product solution (module/product)
• Prior experience working with startups and understanding the fast-paced, dynamic nature of work

• Understanding of RDBMS (MySQL, Postgresql)
• Understanding of REST API
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ExpressJs

• Knowledge of TDD frameworks mocha, chai, jest, etc
• Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, S3, ECS, etc)
• Basic knowledge of Typescript, NextJs
• Prior experience in fin-tech

What you need to have:

You have 5 years or more of Backend end development experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications.

Worked with and built high-performance products using Node Js/GoLang/ Python and have seen the product evolution cycle from PoC to Production

You have a deep understanding of design principles and can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems

You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.

You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.

You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

Previous work experience in product-based startups

Experience building for products that have scaled and have seen the product evolution

• B.Tech/B.E (preferably in Computer Science Engineering) 
• 7+ years of hands-on programming experience in building data-driven REST APIs, services & platforms using advanced Java frameworks like Spring, Redis, Node.js etc. with deep focus on integration & scale.
• We also look for hands-on experience with Mysql, Elasticsearch (or Solr) and Nosql stores.
• Our evaluation starts with focus on computer science fundamentals, data structures & algorithms.
• You will have been learning new technologies every week and prefer folks who can use golang/rust for backend development and are familiar with equivalent data stores, index stores and pub-sub technologies.

Key Skills:

1. One or more of Python/PHP/Ruby/NodeJS/Java

2. Sound object-oriented skills, including strong design patterns knowledge

Requirements:

1. Developing software solutions in conjunction with Relational theory, Rest APIs and NoSQL database technologies

2. Knowledge of cloud based technologies in AWS or Azure will be added advantage

3. Understanding of RDBMS technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL.

4. Hands-on with Version control systems (GIT, SVN) and Unix/Ubuntu.

5. Experience in requirement analysis, HLD, LLD, unit & integration testing.

6. Good hands on experience in debugging application issues
