Backend Developer

We are seeking a Sr. Backend Engineer to play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building high-performance applications and excited about working with cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Nest.js.
• Design and optimize databases with PostgreSQL to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Integrate third-party APIs and build scalable microservices.
• Handled Database migrations to ensure data consistency
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with backend systems in a timely manner.
• Implement security best practices to protect user data and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
• Contribute to architecture and infrastructure discussions, helping shape the future of the platform.
• Stay updated on the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and trends.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in backend development.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and database design principles.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Database Migration.
• Additional Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Job Description

·       Strong Core Java / C++ experience with Strong Handson Coding

·       Excellent understanding of Logical ,Object-oriented design patterns, algorithms and data structures.

·       Sound knowledge of application access methods including authentication mechanisms, API quota limits, as well as different endpoint REST, Java etc

·       Strong exp in databases - not just a SQL Programmer but with knowledge of DB internals

·       Sound knowledge of Cloud database available as service is plus (RDS, CloudSQL, Google BigQuery, Snowflake )

·       Experience working in any cloud environment and microservices based architecture utilizing GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, Azure or similar technologies

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with teammates to define, design, and shape new features.

2. Design and develop backend API microservices using Node.js.

3. Design and develop applications in an AWS and GCP environment.

4. Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.

5. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.

6. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the software.

Requirements

1. Solid experience in Node.js.

2. Good experience using frameworks such as Express.JS or Restify.

3. Willing to learn HapiJS.

4. Hands-on experience with JavaScript Development.

5. Able to work independently and carry out a task to achieve the design goal with minimal supervision.

6. Good programming skills and communications.

What you will be doing ?

You will work in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms, architectures, and technologies. You will be responsible for

• Development of various cloud/web components to ingest, process, transform and visualize data at scale.
• Contribute to algorithm development and automated evaluation for measuring quality.
• Follow engineering best practices (unit testing, continuous delivery etc.)
• Deployment and monitoring of production ready infrastructure

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 3-7 years strong programming experience in Python/Java .
• Hands on knowledge in at least one MVC and ORM frameworks.
• Familiar with at least one frontend framework i.e. React/ Angular
• Working knowledge of at least one RDBMS or NoSQL database.
• Exposure to Geospatial databases and tools like Qgis,OSM will be a plus

• Strong hands on in Core Java, OOPS, Exception handling, Multi-Threading, Generics and design patterns.
• Proficient in designing and developing web applications using Java/JEE
• Working experience in Spring Boot, Spring Integration and REST Web services
• Exposure to UI technologies/frameworks like JavaScript, React JS , Flux and knowledge of CSS, HTML etc
• Build tools like Maven.
• Should possess good communication skills and a go getter attitude.
• Good in debugging code through eclipse and browsers

• Experience in any Continuous Integration/Delivery tools like GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible
• Working knowledge of database like Oracle and application server like Tomcat, WebLogic.

• Candidate must to have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies
