Position: Senior Backend Developer

Experience: 4 + years

Location: Bengaluru/Mangalore

We are looking for an ambitious Backend developer to join our team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with our clients to develop, test, and ship software.

2. Design, code and maintain standard compliant APIs.

3. Debug complex applications.

4. Follow agile processes.

5. Actively participate in project estimation, planning, code reviews and risk management activities

6. Perform peer code reviews.

Desired Profile:

■

Excellent hands-on experience in backend software development

■

Proficient in NodeJS with solid understanding of Typescript

■

Hands on experience with relational [MySQL / PostgreSql] and NoSQL databases

[Preferably, MongoDB]

■

Cloud deployment experience [Preferably, AWS]

■

Must have working knowledge about the AWS serverless services (Lambda, Step Function, API

Gateway, Database Proxy, SQS/SNS, Event Bridge)

■

Experience in containerizing with Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage.

■

Experience in leading a team is needed.

Good to have:

■

Knowledge of GraphQL API

■

Good Communication and Leadership/Mentoring skills

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required: 

• At least 2.5 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-base

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

·         BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field. 

·         5+ years of professional production and development experience with leading-edge server and database technologies (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Scala, Spring Boot, MySQL, and NoSQL databases).

KEY SKILLS

·         Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns Experience with professional production cloud (AWS preferred).

·         Experience with RESTful Services and APIs.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop server-side web applications using Node.js

Write high-quality, testable, and scalable code

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features

Implement and maintain software design patterns and architecture

Troubleshoot and debug applications

Optimize application performance and scalability

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in web technologies and frameworks

Requirements:

2-4 years of experience in developing server-side web applications using Node.js

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with a good understanding of its ecosystem

Experience with popular Node.js frameworks such as Express or Hapi

Familiarity with database technologies such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

Knowledge of web security best practices and techniques

Experience with Git and other version control systems

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment

Good communication and teamwork skills
