## Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading backend development, managing cloud infrastructure and deployments, designing scalable system architectures, and mentoring the engineering team. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

### 1. DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure

- Create and configure cloud instances on Azure, AWS, or GCP.

- Deploy applications and programs to cloud servers and DevOps environments.

- Ensure deployment stability, system uptime, and performance monitoring.

- Automate deployment pipelines and continuously improve CI/CD practices.

- Implement and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure deployment processes.

We are looking for a Backend Architect / Lead who lives and breathes code. Qualifications:

● The Deep Diver: You have spearheaded at least one large-scale, complex backend project or system redesign. You can explain every architectural decision, trade-off, database schema choice, and line of code in a deep-dive technical discussion.

● Experience: You have at least 8 years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on high-traffic, distributed backend systems.

● Tech Stack Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB (Mongoose/Aggregation framework), and TypeScript. Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ECS/Lambda, CloudWatch) and containerization (Docker).

● Architectural Fluency: A solid understanding of modern backend patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Pub/Sub, Caching strategies, Message Queues like RabbitMQ/Kafka, State Management, and Authentication/Authorization protocols).

● Optimization Expert: Proven experience in tuning database performance, scaling server instances, managing connection pools, and debugging memory leaks or high CPU usage under heavy load.

About the role

You'll take technical ownership of our Backend, Data & ML team and lead the backend development team. You'll design and scale our backend services, APIs and data systems, and bring data science and ML models into production. You'll also be the main technical link to the React Native and Next.js teams.
