Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Python Developer. The Python Developer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, object-oriented programming, programming, and databases. The role is located in Navi Mumbai but offers flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

• Back-end web development and software development skills
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and programming languages, specifically Python
• Experience with databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with source code management tools, such as Git
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience with algorithm design and analysis is a plus
• Experience with financial markets and trading is a plus

Required Skills:

• Candidate must have 3-4 years’ experience .

• Strong knowledge of Django and Flask frameworks
• Experience in developing and maintaining backend applications

This is a remote position.

• Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and tools to power customers, engineers, and operations
• Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to post-deployment.
• Be responsible for full software development life-cycle - design, development, testing, operating in production
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases, infrastructure, and processes you will encounter.
• Serve as technical lead, contributing to and directing the execution of complex projects with other engineers
• Mentor software engineers and set the standard for the next generation of Finly engineers
• Proactively identify and prioritize improvements to the team's processes, codebases and best practices

• 3 to 6 years' experience creating libraries and designing scale-able backend systems
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with software engineering development cycles
• Experience working with backend programming languages (Ruby, Python)

• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

• Must have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Understanding of database principals: SQL and NoSQL
• Collaboration and communication skills (you’ll be working with clients and internal teams)
• An understanding of programming fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms)
• Familiarity and comfort with REST API, Postman

What we are looking for

• At-least 3 years of experience of development on backend applications. Full stack experience is a cherry on the top!
• Experience / knowledge of designing robust systems, maintaining & scaling them
• Experience with usage of NoSQL databases like MongoDB & with SQL and RDBMS Systems
• Experience of creating applications with any of the popular frameworks in Python, Java, GoLang, Node
• Experience with JS frontend frameworks like React, Angular, Vue etc is a big plus
• Well versed with versioning systems like git
• Understanding of rest API implementation
