• We are looking for a Python Lead who has the following experience and expertise -
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using Flask/Django or Fast API framework
• Hands-on experience of using ORMs for database query mapping
• Unit test cases for code coverage and API testing
• Using Postman for validating the APIs Experienced with GIT process and rest of the code management including knowledge of ticket management systems like JIRA
• Have at least 2 years of experience in any cloud platform
• Hands-on leadership experience
• Experience of direct communication with the stakeholders

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python/Django, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, along with strong problem-solving skills and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop backend services using Django and Python.

•Architect and implement microservices-based solutions for scalability and maintainability.

•Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for efficient data storage and caching.

•Build and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure robust API design principles.

•Implement system design best practices for high availability and fault tolerance.

•Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes.

•Integrate with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for hosting and infrastructure management.

1. Software Development:

• Design, implement, and optimise clean, scalable, and reliable code across [backend/frontend/full-stack] systems.
• Contribute to the development of micro services, APIs, or UI components as per the project requirements.

• Analyse and identify opportunities for performance improvements and scalability.

1. Code Reviews and Mentorship:

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

• Work within an Agile/Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Carbon Science, Designer, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in production and development environments.
• Contribute to incident management and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Experience: 2–5 years of professional software development experience in [specify languages/tools, e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.].
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in [programming languages/frameworks/tools].
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

Nice-to-Have:

We are having an immediate requirement for a Python web developer.

You have:

• At least 2 years of experience developing web applications with Django/Flask/FastAPI
• Familiarity with Linux
• Experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Uses Docker and CI/CD
• Writes tests
• Experienced in application deployments and scaling them on AWS or GCP
