Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with extensive experience in Ruby on Rails to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend technologies and best practices, as well as a passion for creating robust and scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are current and effective.

Must-Have Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on Ruby on Rails.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they integrate with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• OWASP Secure Code review,• Basic programing knowledge in any programming language and knowledge on secure development practices.

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Backend - Adis – PV is a scientific analysis platform being built for extracting content from scientific articles and providing meaningful insights
