The Senior QA Analyst will assist the quality assurance efforts for two key products: FileBound and AccuRoute. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior QA Analyst will mentor team members, drive process improvements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software releases aligned with organizational standards.

What would you do?

• Develop and approve test plans, strategies, and automation roadmaps for both products.

• Ensure adherence to QA methodologies and best practices.

• Drive decisions on trade-offs between performance, cost, and schedule.

• Act as the “Quality Champion” for assigned products, defending code quality on behalf of customers.

• Lead meetings and communicate QA approach to management and stakeholders.

• Disseminate technical information clearly to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with leadership and product SMEs to align QA strategy with organizational vision.

• Architect solutions for complex testing scenarios across FileBound and AccuRoute.

• Oversee automation strategy and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

• Solve complex, vaguely defined technical problems with innovative solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, including hands-on testing and quality ownership.
• Experience acting as a senior or lead contributor on QA initiatives, with responsibility for guiding less senior team members.
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams including Development, Product, and other stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing responsibilities across multiple efforts.
• Solid experience working within established software development and quality assurance processes.

Primary Skills:

1. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software testing principles, and the full SDLC.
2. Ability to design, execute, and maintain effective test plans, test cases, and test strategies for moderately complex systems.
3. Experience participating in and leading QA-related discussions, including design reviews and requirements review sessions.
4. Ability to influence quality-related decisions and provide recommendations on testing approaches and techniques.
5. Experience mentoring or supporting less senior QA team members through guidance, review, and knowledge sharing.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and quality concepts to both technical and semi-technical audiences.
7. Ability to manage multiple testing efforts or projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
8. Proficiency with QA tooling such as Jira, test management systems, and related QA platforms

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for the e-commerce gift card product, covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester / Test Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of testing methodologies and be able to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. Exposure to Python full-stack applications will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to validate product functionality.

· Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.

· Analyze test results and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.

· Perform regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.

· Ensure the overall quality of the product by identifying gaps and improvement areas.

· Document test processes, test plans, and test case results.

· Knowledge of Python FullStack Application.

· Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing.

· Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.

· Proficient in writing clear and concise test cases, test plans, and bug reports.

· Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).

· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Basic knowledge of Python and full-stack applications is an advantage.

· Excellent communication and analytical skills.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

· Preferred Skills:

· Some exposure to Python full-stack applications (Django, Flask, etc.).

· Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend/frontend testing.

· Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium (bonus but not mandatory).

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer with strong proficiency in hardware-based and emulator-driven manual testing. The ideal candidate will also possess 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Java, ideally for scripting or basic automation tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a background in hardware testing looking to contribute to highly integrated systems involving both hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute manual test cases focused on hardware-integrated systems, embedded environments, and emulators.
• Translate complex system requirements and user stories into well-structured, actionable test cases.
• Plan and maintain comprehensive test documentation ensuring traceability and thorough coverage.
• Identify, document, and follow up on bugs and inconsistencies across releases and change requests.
• Collaborate with development and hardware teams to ensure robust system validation across interfaces.
• Utilize Java (1–2 years' experience) to support test scripting or automation where applicable.

Must-Have Skills:

• Manual Testing Expertise: 5+ years in QA with a primary focus on hardware/manual testing.
• Hardware & Emulator Testing: Proven experience in testing physical devices, hardware components, or emulators.
• Java Scripting: 1–2 years of experience in Java for test scripting or automation utilities.
• Proficiency in test case design, defect tracking (e.g., JIRA), and understanding of testing life cycle models.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and working knowledge of databases.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Python or other test automation frameworks.
• Testing certifications (ISTQB, CP-SAT, CP-MAT, etc.)
• Familiarity with location-based technologies (GPS, mapping, navigation systems).
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Proven 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Experience in project management and QA methodology

• Ensure processes used for system testing are adequate and appropriate 
• Develop manual test procedures 
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that Leica Microsystems products meet (and exceed) end-user expectations 
• Develop and maintain the system and user acceptance tests and scripts based on product requirements  
• Procure, create and manage test data required 
• Executing system and user acceptance tests and producing test logs and issue reports 
• Management of test coverage to ensure all requirements are adequately tested 
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues to generate root cause identification and resolution 

Our Expectations:  

• Bachelor of Engineering or Masters in software engineering / Informatics or equivalent. 
• Experience in device/embedded software testing 
• Experience of working in an Agile environment, testing user stories, and participating in SCRUM, sprint planning, and backlog review activities. 
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in verbal and written English. 
• Experience working with CI tools (ideally TeamCity). 

Nice to have / Ideally:  

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certified tester. 
• Experience in medical device quality standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971. 
• 3-6 years of experience in testing medical device applications. 
• Experience working with teams across the globe. 
• Experience testing end-to-end applications that interact with hardware devices.
