Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of core B2C and B2B platforms from the ground up.
• Balance hands-on coding with technical leadership and team mentorship.
• Make critical decisions on system architecture, technology stacks, and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the Fractional CTO and product team to define the technical roadmap and align engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Build and maintain robust, secure, and scalable backend services with a strong emphasis on performance and maintainability.
• Set up and promote efficient development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience building and scaling full-stack or backend-heavy systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise in backend development using frameworks like NestJS or Node.js (PERN stack preferred).
• Strong understanding of relational database design and query optimization, ideally with PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in frontend frameworks like React or Next.js, with an eye for clean architecture and good UX.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, Git workflows, and cloud deployments (AWS or GCP).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior developers, especially in early-stage or fast-paced startup environments.
• Experience with greenfield product development or scaling products from 0 to 1 is a strong plus.

Key Qualifications

1) BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant field and 6+ years of experience in building backend services with

Python 3.7.x using Django >= 2.2.1, Django REST framework >= 3.13.1, Flask >=1.1.2 and relational databases

design and maintenance.

2) At least 4 years of solid experience in working with front-end MVC framework React and caching strategies

(memcached, Redis).

3) Expertise in building microservices-based and cloud-based architectures including development and deployment

in AWS.

4) At least 3 years of experience with Web Application technologies: REST, MongoDB, MySQL, NoSQL, AWS

Lambda, API Gateway and web servers Apache, Nginx.

5) Follows coding best practices to produce tested, scalable, reliable and maintainable code.

6) Hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and releasing large-scale applications.

Responsibilities

1) Understand complex requirements, scope and architect major features and perform API technical design for

junior developers to enhance the product at all layers.

2) Think in terms of future possibility of features, backward compatibility, and application performance.

3) Build cloud-based Python Django software products and implement UI components in React.js framework.

4) Write quality code (with comments, unit tests & documentation), design, implement and manage data pipelines

at enterprise scale with data migration and production data maintenance.

5) Collaborate with different teams to conceptualize, design, and build highly scalable and reliable software

solutions with REST APIs following SDLC best practices and DevOps principles.

6) Work closely with product, project and business teams to translate user feedback and company vision into

technical roadmap.

7) Possess strong product-centric mindset. You should be interested in the way software products are built and

comfortable to be proactive with your ideas and opinions.

JD | Senior Software Engineer (J2EE/JEE Full Stack)

Summary

Looking for a senior developer who has strong skills in front-end and back-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, JSP, Servlets, Ajax, SQL, Database Stored Procedures, and J2EE frameworks.

This position requires J2EE Full Stack development experience of 2 to 6 years. Further it requires good multitasking and communication skills. Further it requires good communication skills - written and spoken, and good multi-tasking skills where he/she can manage multiple tasks with high productivity. The candidate should also have good aptitude, should be able to learn iTech’ s cloud-based products within a reasonable time, hardworking and should have the ability to go the extra mile to complete the assigned tasks on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop the various modules, features and reports in our products using JEE and database technologies/frameworks
• Take responsibility and work with peer developers in the team in completing the features/tasks assigned.
• Perform code review with peer developers on various features in the product.
• Handle the support tickets which requires development effort and fix them.
• Learning and implementing new front-end and back-end technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.
• Involve in building and deploying the product version in UAT and Production environment.
• Work on multiple versions of the projects in parallel.

Qualifications

• Exposure to SOAP/RESTful Web Services, XML/JSON technologies, JBoss/WildFly Application Server, PostgreSQL database is a bonus
• Knowledge in any tools including Eclipse IDE, Source Code Control Systems such as Git, and Software Configuration Management systems would be a plus.
